After an op and enforced isolation for over 3 weeks, a visit to The Lion (a treat from my family) was my first venture out. Boy was it good.
I don't eat meat and I'm not really keen on meat loaf and the alternatives so the chef just cooked me veg, a Yorkshire and gravy and it was amazing.
Wonderful meal; great food, lovely service and perfect gluten free food options.

This beautiful pub/ restaurant is only a mile away from me, went to their car meet last week which was so good met some lovely people. So for my birthday went for Sunday lunch, so glad we did food was perfect, garden setting lovely. Service was prompt and felt so welcome. It’s my new local ❤️
A great atmosphere for lunch with choices to sit outside or in (several rooms to choose from). Good selection of dishes. The steak in my baguette was a wonderful rare just as I had requested. We had a lovely beef roast dinner, butternut squash resoto and a beef and venison burger. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding. We will certainly go back when in the area.
