The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a nice cafe there with indoor and outdoor seating. There are areas especially for those who have their dogs with them, indoors and outdoors, which is very thoughtful towards those who do and to those who don't. Enjoyed lunch there. Good portion sizes and the hot lunches were served hot and quickly. Sandwiches were lovely and fresh. It was such a relaxing atmosphere when we were there, so much so, that I think my elderly Dad could have happily had a nap after he had finished his lunch! Plants were well cared for and seemed a good range there. Would go again.

First time visiting this centre, met up with aunt and uncle from Colchester. I highly recommend the sausage rolls that we had with out teas and coffee, in the very spacious tea room. Then had a look around their gift area, my kids and grandchildren love Scandinavian gnomes, so we were spoilt for choice. Have sent photos to family, and we will be visiting again at the weekend to buy. This time I may have time to look at the plants! Highly recommend!!

Hiya, Just wanted to send a message and say that your staff are lovely and welcoming! I came in for the first time today having found you on google to get out with my newborn, got chatting to a lovely lady behind the till and a young guy. She seemed genuinely interested and was really lovely about being a first time mum and that I was always welcome in there for a chat. I will definitely be coming back and will bring my mummy friends for lunch. Thank you again! 😊 x

Love going for a wander round Hilltop. Bought some great plants - there’s a good selection. The cafe is huge here and usually very busy but today was relatively quiet and we got our food quicker than usual. The food choice is extensive. Clean toilets, good parking and friendly staff.

First visit. Nice plant areas, indoor and outdoor. Not an overly large site though. The cafe facilities were well planned out, even an area for dog walkers.

Delicious prawn sandwiches with salad garnish and crisps. Love the new conservatory area and the small garden is a beautiful sun trap.
