Been here a few times over the years. On our last visit it was very busy. They have lamb as a meat choice which is unusual for carvery's we've found at other restaurants.
We would have liked broccoli and brussels as a vegetable choice. They could be a bit more generous with the amount of meat we wer
We went there for the breakfast and it was a good choice. Good price and good food with a view. Loved the Yorkshire pudding on the breakfast buffet and thanks to the lady with brown hair and glasses that served us at the till, she was so polite.
The waitress was SUPERB! Couldn't ask for better service. The staff serving the food were also wonderful.
The food however, ugh! The roast potatoes were so hard I could not cut through them without a struggle, lovely on the inside but inedible on the outside to chew or even cut properly with a kn
Came here after our original dinner plans had fallen through so was a bit all last minute. We were welcomed by a very friendly member of staff who said due to how late it was, what was on the carvery was all that was left. After having a look we decided to stay and eat. We’re glad we did! Friendly a
As a fan of the Toby Carvery, it was a natural choice when dinner time arrived. It did not disappoint. Food was as tasty and as plentiful as you want to make it from the wide variety available. Added to the pleasure was our principal server who was able to chat to us between attending to other cu
We had the carvery on a Saturday, the food was nice overall but just not worth the price. Our son didn't want the carvery so we bought him chicken nuggets, however you don't get chips with it you had to go to the carvery and get the mash from there instead. Just seems an odd system. Staff were nice
Despite it being extremely busy, the reception was first class. While I was pushing mum's wheelchair the staff member typed in my parking details on their portal and gave us a lovely window seat. Very friendly staff and excellent customer service in what was a very busy dining area. Many thanks, we
it was well organised, we were seated straight away, on arrival. Their was plenty vegetables to choose from, and we both picked the meat we wanted. The table service was good, staff helpful and friendly.
and we both enjoyed our meal and the visit.
We arrived at the end of Air Show afternoon and the place was packed. There were hundreds of people at the tables outside and inside 💠
My first thought was "this is not going to work" .. it was so hot that I immediately lost my appetite anyway. But what a happy surprise... Our party of five were sho
Meal was lovely, but seem to be too many tables in the area we were in. You had to ask the people at the next table if they could move a little so you could get in or out. There was a table on the corner and as I can round the corner with the drinks he just put his arm out and Knock me and the drink
Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant was busy but organisation and timeliness of service still very good.
Food on carvery constantly kept refreshed and good choice and quality of meats offered with generous portions - Yorkshire Puddings were huge!!
Been here several times, found it friendly and food very nice.
This time was not such a nice experience.
Having been served my meat by the very polite Chef, a lady, obviously his superior, told me that he had given me too much and asked me to give my plate back! She then scraped the meat of the plat
Staff very friendly, especially Andrew who was brilliant.
Food was very nice and tasty.
The building and inside does need some TLC.
Caroline saved the day! Such a busy day and where it could have all gone south but great communication, empathy and being honest saved the day. My son was super hungry and the carvery was amazing - veg option for my mum was a hit and the gin and tonics for me (and the food) hit the spot. Do acknowle
Toby Carvery Clacton isn't really about the food, or the service, or even the atmosphere exactly. You see, it's in Clacton, on the seafront no less, so it has a whole other kind of criteria to fulfil. When you go to Clacton you kind of have to buy into Clacton as an experience and hope it gives you
Please be aware that I only gave the Food a 3-star rating, because of my personal bias towards Chinese food. However, if you enjoy your Western / British food on a daily basis, then I'm quite sure that you won't be disappointed with the menu, especially the traditional English breakfast buffet & the
