We've been to the Bowling Green on three occasions recently (including Christmas Day) and at no point have I found room to complain. The food was great, served in good time and the wait staff are always chatty and friendly, and I wouldn't say it was expensive for the quality either.
We had a excellent meal at the bowling green our waitress was very helpful and friendly will recommend this restaurant highly looking forward to going back soon
I stayed here for 3 nights as I was working just down the road. Never had any issues, staff are really friendly, food was really good and served quite quickly even when restaurant was full. Breakfast was lovely and served quickly, no complaints at all.
Ignore all other reviews , they are just overly picky people , the venue has good amount of seating and we were greated straight away and taken to our table , our server was sue and she was amazing 👏, ordered drinks but one wasn't available when she came back but had brought and alternative ready which was even better! , food came promptly and was lovely and hot annnnnd very tasty , 😋 , Was not a dirty or unclean venue just worn carpet which shows good footfall, sorry you're there to eat food , not the carpet , so grow up anyone with a complaint
Overall very happy
Was very reluctant To go to this pub due to previous reviews however we took the chance and we were impressed. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff member who sat us at a table. The table was clean and overall look of the pub was clean and tidy. The carpets were worn but this is nothing to their fault. Our server sue, was lovely, friendly and chatty, always happy to help. She was the definition of excellent service! My drink wasn’t available but she came with an appropriate alternative which was perfect!
Our drinks and food all came quickly and looked and tasted as expected at £34 for two burger meals, a side and two drinks.
Sue then advised us on their loyalty card, answering all our questions.
We had a fantastic meal, of good pub quality and you don’t always get nice service like we experienced this evening.
We visited on a Wednesday evening around 6pm and will definitely be going back!
Had an evening meal here following a long drive from the Lake District. Took advantage of the Premier Inn offer of £25 per head 2 course evening meal + a complimentary breakfast the next day.
Our waitress was really pleasant and helpful. The starters were plentiful and really tasty. The main course was well cooked and very hot. As stated it was well cooked and a sizeable portion and overall the gammon was very nice as well as tasty.
A grumble would be that the dining room is looking tired and requires a bit of TLC in order to update it. The carpets need deep cleaning and the wood floor does need rewaxing and fresh stain applied.
We had a wake held here following a funeral. Excellent service and value for money. Would definitely recommend. The food offering had something for everyone and was great. Provided drinks too in the price which lots of other places didnt
My friend and I booked a table for lunch here last Monday ..we had cocktails and I ordered a steak meal and my friend had the WinnerWinner chicken dinner..my steak was cooked to perfection, chicken dinner demolished staff were attentive.a 40pc off voucher most helpful. The only thing that let it down was the worn out fittings and threadbare carpet which we understand is well overdue for refurbishment
We visited the bowling green table table restaurant at Weeley on a Wednesday night to have their £8.99 pie and pud deal.
We booked a table in advance.
We were shown to our table and given the general menu. We had to ask about the pie and pud deal. It was a lovely pie and pudding.
Highly recommend.
Been here a few times now, food quality varies from great to ok,
The wait staff have always been spot on, providing appropriate attention and fast, friendly service and nothing is too much trouble.
Reasonably priced, but it is pub grub so you need to manage your expectations.
One thing for the owners to consider is replacing the disgusting carpets which look filthy and remind you of the terrible patterned fabric that you find on bus or train seats, about time for some modernisation with some wooden floors!
Place is starting to look a little tired and decor is dull. Our waitress was very cheery and friendly. Food was nice fair quality for the price
Visited this pub as a meeting place for our Nans funeral. And re attended for the wake after.
Although the lady on the bar was on her own and there were alot of us that turned up unannounced, we were served fairly quickly and the food was amazing.
Would highly recommend to friends and family. Will definitely be returning in the future 👍
We used bowling green on Thursday 17th August at around 2pm and it was 1st class, food was excellent & I don't know names of staff were but they were very nice..so will be using bowling green next time we are in weeley.
4 of us had our evening meal there. Meal was absolutely top notch, as was the service and atmosphere.
Have no hesitation what so ever in recommending this place to future customers.
Great food, especially the carvery. Great value for money. And all staff we have dealt with are happy, helpful and a good laugh. Been a few times now and look forward to going back
This place does what it does brilliantly and at a price that will blow your mind….. it’s a buffet breakfast, with all the trimmings + cereal and pastries…. It’s not all cheap muck either, there’s even a fruit salad with decent yoghurt for healthy eaters……. All for just £10 per adult and kids eat free!!!!! It’s insane! One child per adult. You have to book.
Even the cost of living, would blush at this kind of value!
Ps. The hash browns are next level good.
Pss. Proper bean to cup coffee too.
Pss. I would have given 5 stars for value if there was an option.
