Travelled from London for a quick day out. We had some chips for lunch and they were so nice we had to go back for dinner. The fish was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The prawn tempura was some of the best I’ve had. Would travel back down just for this chip shop. Staff are very welcoming as well.
Popped in here for lunch today - nice traditional style seaside fish restaurant and takeaway. Food was good, service was quick and team were friendly. Really enjoyed our lunch and respite from the cold (but beautiful) weather outside!

Our second visit here absolutely gorgeous food. Lovely staff, food piping hot. Largest piece of battered cod we had ever seen. My husband had the large cod and he couldn't finish it.

Ate here at he beginning of July 2022... Perfectly cooked fish and chips and excellent staff. Very clean and cooked to order as far as I could tell. Very reasonable pricing too. This place would blow my normal chippy back home (which has won numerous awards) out of the water! Absolutely no complaint
Bought fish and chips to takeaway (take out), allowed to eat outside in the sun at tables provided. Plenty of chips and both fish, chips and batter tasted good.
Had the best fish and chips here, chips were perfect, so crispy but fluffy and the fish was even better. Would def recommend and will come back.

Perfect fish and chips! My husband always moans when eating out, especially fish and chips. He actually wants to go back there he enjoyed it so much!!! Eat outside so don't know what the restaurant service is like but nothing wrong with take away, freshly cooked service.
Went here on Sunday on a family visit to Clacton. We ate inside. Really lovely place, nice and clean, delicious fish and chips perfectly cooked and the staff were so nice, very attentive, polite and friendly. Will definitely visit again
Great fish& & chips at a very good price but very very long wait because not enough staff and they were prioritising the restaurant with all orders even if they came in after people ordering takeaway
Decent fish and chips here. There is a shed load of places to here as you would expect from a major seaside location. Food was served hot, both sit in and take away options here. All the time I have lived in Clacton I have never visited this particular fish and chip restaurant. My daughter came down with her family for the day and we were hungry so we decided to try it out.
The staff were really really friendly, and helped out with any concerns that we had about portion size
