We had a lovely meal for four at Greensward Cafe in Clacton-on-Sea. We ordered fish and chips and jacket potato and beans (with an extra sausage on the side). There was plenty of available seating, and it had a lovely friendly seaside vibe. The staff were courteous, and our food came out quite quickly. The portion sizes were perfect for us. They cooked the chips just right, and the fish had a nice crispy batter, which wasn’t greasy. Overall, a great place to eat and meet friends or family. Thanks!

Clean, friendly, easily accessible with the motorbike and the food was just right. No rush (and it was lovely to see it open off-season), but the food was served quickly and with a smile. Lots of options on the menu and even on a cold, grey day you can sit in the warm and see the sea.

A great place for families that are enjoying Clacton Beach. It reminded me of the classic American diners but with British dishes and amazing coffee!

Always clean inside, the staff are friendly and you are treated with respect, Food is really nice and reasonably priced, but even if you think there is a delay on your food, appreciate the fact that it is cooked FRESH and it's HOT, unless you have a cold pudding or food. Also there is an ice-cream window so you can get one if you're wanting to walk down the promenade afterwards. Coffee is fantastic, Hot Chocolate is tasty and nice. (It must be as my mum always tells me..it's the best hot chocolate on the promenade!) Always worth a stop and try.

A really nice tasty menu. Enjoyed the quality grub cooked up in classic cafe style. The prices were reasonable considering the location but I did feel the plates were a little empty for what I paid. Times are hard hard for all the hospitality sectors right now so I can forgive the portion size - all in all a lovely cafe that I would visit again!

Only had chips but they were nice. Mrs had latte which was nice but quite expensive. Treated myself to a 99 and served by a very polite young lady. Tables were a little grubby but it is a beach cafe and it was very popular

Nice place friendly and polite staff didn't have any food. But from what I saw of what people had it looked very nice and that they had a very decent choice of foods along with it being decently priced . Went for the adventure golf we really enjoyed it and was very cheap for family of 4 only costing £12.50 .. Well worth a visit 100% 👍

Great cafe. Lovely staff and food. Do a good range of food and a few bits for vegetarians and gluten free. The cakes look lovely too though never had one.👍

On an airshow day when they were incredibly busy got our fish and chips in about 15 minutes. For the money it was reasonable, the coffee was fine and the staff were pleasant.

Close to the beach with outside seating. You have to go inside to get a menu and order your food which is a bit of a pain. It can be very windy there so would be better if they had salt n pepper and condiments in proper containers than small light sachets as they blow around. Some of the prices don't make sense as egg and chips is around £3 but add ham & the price double. Chips on their own are about the same price too. The cafe is popular with locals. They also sell whippy ice creams at the window as well as ice lollies etc

With a menu covering a wide range of Asian dishes and a hard working staff, everything was excellent, but my favourite dish this time was the Asparagus Tempura. Sweet, crunchy onions, peppers, mild Chillis starring the Asparagus.
