Really lovely place. We went today, informed staff of my kids food allergies to check ingredients and without me asking, heard the guy we ordered from, ring the kitchen to inform of allergies and risk of cross contamination. Super impressed and food was amazing!!! We will definitely be back!
The girls came here for my birthday on Saturday, fish and chips were lovely, but wow the best was the mushy peas with ham hock, lush, could have eaten a big bowl of them
A bit better than your average fish & chip place... always the option of a non-fried fish dish (which my wife likes) and my son absolutely loves the pies!!
The best fish & chips i have ever eaten! Great setting, great host...but best of all 'the home brewed beer'! Really something special that is. Glad to have this outfit in Cirencester.
We ordered a take away of the lite bite fish and chips with mushy peas. It was promptly delivered to the Marlborough Arms where we were enjoying a couple of pints. Really impressed with the quality of the whole meal, so fresh and tasty. Thank you!
Best fish and chips I’ve ever had in an incredibly cool little place. Highly recommend.
Had a great Saturday evening dinner the wine selection was surprisingly good!
Defiantly cone back and recommend.
Amazing fish and chips! Quirky setting with very friendly staff - would highly recommend
We had the best lunch and fish and chips ever. Great staff and very helpful.
What a wonderful little place. We arrived in Cirencester and looked up somewhere nearby to eat and this placed popped up. Great food and lovely service, didn't have to wait long for it either. Thankyou for a lovely bank holiday lunch :)
Great lunch today. Portion sizes were spot on as didn’t feel over full but extremely satisfied. Return journey will be happening
Tastiest fish & chips ever, light crisp batter, no soggy grease!
Friendly attentive staff, great service.
Will be visiting again very soon
We have to say this is the best fish and chips we have had for many a year wonderful. I would say though you need to have an open sign or display opening hours as we nearly walked passed thinking you were closed, so glad we didn’t, thank you
Scampi and Rajdoot curry sauce - OMG! Great place, service and food. Loved it!
I can’t remember tasting better fish & chips, excellent food and very friendly staff.
We dined in. Much bigger place than expected. Those prawns Ill be remembering for days 😅 amazing!! Batter was perfect. Only reason it isn't 5 star is due to the chips. These were like restaurant quality chips...not chippy chips which we'd have preferred
Fantastic fish and chips! I can definitely see why they have won awards for their food! It was slightly pricier than other places, but it was worth it for the excellent food! My only complaint is that the plates were a little small, so our peas and chips kept slipping off the plate.
First the food, the food was brilliant, well worth the price alone. The chips were great and the fish cooked perfectly. I cannot fault the food here!
The staff were attentive and helpful, they made us feel welcome and looked after us.
Unfortunately we ate upstairs in the overflow area, as we booked this not knowing that it is a cocktail bar. This means it had subdued lighting that I'm sure is great for cocktails but was so dark we had to use our phone torches to read the menus, and there was your typical empty bar smell of stale alcohol until food started being served.
Only minor complaints in the grand scheme of things as the meal was otherwise fantastic and we will definitely be back! Just downstairs next time.
Excellent place to eat, food was super fast and well deserving of their awards. We were served by Millie and she was great! Well worth the hour+ drive we took to give it a try
First time I've visited - ordered 2 loin cods and a regular and small chips as a takeaway.
Food was divine, best cod I've had in ages, fresh, tasty and great quality.
Lots of chips and again lovely quality and well cooked. Well presented with tartar sauce and fresh lemon included - highly recommend, we'll be back!
Lovely service and food.
£40 for a bottle of prosecco and 2 fish, chips, peas and tartare sauce.
This is not a chippy, it's a wonderful little bistro with a great vibe.
The selection of fresh fish available was incredible. I could have gone through the whole menu.
After researching the best fish & chips in Gloucestershire, we decided to give the Malt Anchor a try. We were definitely not disappointed. We booked a table which was a good idea as this is a very popular place .
We both had the regular cod loin and chips, which came with mushy peas . My husband decided to also have the curry sauce, and I had the onion rings. The portions are huge, so when we go again, we said we would go for small portion . This is a lovely place which is a must. The service was excellent.
The best Fish & Chips I've ever had. Nice crispy batter & lovely chips. The ham hock mushy peas were just delightful. Service was great the staff are very helpful & always smiling. Would definitely recommend this place.
The best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten! Chips were perfect and really tasty, the fish was delicious and came with a lovely tartar sauce! We shared a large cod and chips between two and it was the perfect amount for a light lunch. Can’t wait to come pack!
Delicious food, good service. Great to have a choice of oven baked fish as an alternative to battered.
Absolutely divine... I have been looking for a good chippie in the Cotswolds for over a year now and finally found this amazing place. The quality was excellent, portions great and the taste was just delightful. Plus, you can eat in if you want in their seaside-themed (and impeccably decorated) restaurant. I even heard there's a wine bar upstairs... Couldn't recommend more.
“It was so delicious I want to try everything on the menu” - my eldest daughter. Fab visit to this restaurant, found by chance while here on holiday. We can see why this won the best Fish & Chip restaurant in England in the national competition. We will be back!
All good, had gluten free option which was a nice surprise for a fish and chip specialist. Nice proper Indian curry sauce option too
We came here for lunch on the 4th of October 2023. There were 4 of us. 3 of us ordered fish n chips (2 haddock’s and 1 cod) and one ordered a pie. The food was great as always. The onion rings ordered as an appetiser were super chunky though and looked too big for me to try. Otherwise the food was wonderful. The service was good as well.
Superb fish and chips. Great crispy batter. Served freash and hot. Very pleasant and efficient server. Very clean. Well done.
Amazing food and service. We was a large group but the staff were so accommodating.
Visited for a late Saturday lunch.
My wife ordered the Prawn-agedon and myself the battered haddock.
Both arrived promptly and the portions are large.
My fiah was perfectly cooked, the fish hot and moist, the batter was thin and really crisp and the chips well coloured and crisp.
The wife's platter of prawns (pictured) was incredible. A brilliant variety of prawns and sources.
Looking forward to revisiting.
Without doubt the best fish and chips one could ever have
