Very good food overall. Did not care for the spring rolls and a bit too many bamboo shoots in the main pork meal for my liking but rice and chow mein yummy. All nice and hot and not too long to wait. Will return for sure.

Best spare ribs ever… all food is lovely! We order from here regularly! The bbq sauce is second to none… we order a variety of dishes and are never disappointed!
Great takeaway and very quick service. We were on a weekend break in the area and fancied a takeaway to take back to our accommodation, highly recommend to anyone else who might be in a similar situation. Food was great and good price
This was the first time ordering from here about a week ago on a Friday evening. The food was ready quickly and the staff were very polite. I didn't realise it was cash only but it wasn't an issue as there was a garage located about a minute away that has a cash machine.
The food was good, the portion sizes were generous and so too was the amount of meat provided in the chow meins (we had pork and chicken ones).
The only thing I was a little disappointed on were the crispy shredded beef (it just tasted a bit greasy like the oil needed changing). The chilli sauce could have been spicer but I know some people are sensitive to spice so the chefs may be making it for a universal palate. We cook a lot of thai dishes so we like our chillies!
We had egg rice, crispy spring rolls and a sweet and sour chicken dish which were all really tasty.
I'd probably order from here again as I overall enjoyed the dishes.
Wow what a Chinese we have found. First time definitely won’t be the last . The special satay was outstanding. Lemon chicken was amazing. Special fried rice beautifully cooked . One thing I was a little disappointed with was they don’t do Duck chow mien but I had the special chow mien instead and it was fantastic. Thanks China House ❤️
China House is absolutely lovely! It's cozy, the staff are polite, and the food is exceptional. I ordered the quarter duck, crispy shredded chilli beef, sweet and sour chicken, Chinese pork chow mein, and egg fried rice. It was all done wonderfully and the taste was incredible!! I will be coming back for more!
New to Newnham and fancied a Chinese takeaway - we found the China House on Google ... fantastic! The sweet and sour special was amazing 😊and brill prices - will definitely be visiting again.
Had a fantastic meal tonight after a bad time last time the owner made it right with us and we ordered again there was a lot more flavour to everything I really enjoyed the chicken curry I had and the rib!! Definitely going to recommend this place
Really good food, especially the crispy duck. Down here on holiday but it was just as good as our usual back home and a bit cheaper too!
