Could not fault this place. Book for 8 family members for my daughters 18th. It was a busy Friday with bookings and we were treated so well that I was so impressed with the staff and chefs that they handled all the parties so well.

Despite obvious staff shortages we had a pleasant experience. Food was presented not long after I placed the order. My wife had steak and cleared her plate. Everything was hot and well presented. Good old good pub food.
Excellent all round! A warm, cosy, traditional (but up to date) family pub with plenty of space inside and out. Dog friendly as well - I presume for well behaved doggies! Easy access and plenty of parking.

Excellent food, just enough!! Loved the service and staff make you feel welcome and valued. Ambience was amazing. We will definitely visit again and try a different dish and hopefully have a desert this time. You do not feel rushed to leave the table either

We regularly go to the Stag and hounds as a family and I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and they are always so helpful and nice.
