This café is spot on as a place to start or end a walk. It has a range of takeaway or eat-in options at a very reasonable price. There were many vegan options, including a vegan sausage roll, a very tasty cauliflour pasty (plus an additional cheesy vegetarian pasty). There were also several vegan sweet options, including a chocolate cookie and a berry flapjack. They had two types of alternative milk available at no extra cost. There wasn't a plant based sandwich, but we felt there was plenty to choose from for the plant based members of our group. The food was tasty and the staff were extremely friendly and professional.
Lovely cafe and a very welcome cup of tea at the end of a long walk. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Great place to recharge the batteries z
Stopped in for a quick cup of tea and cake just before closing time. Staff very friendly and quick service. National Trust membership is handy as car parking is free for members.
Just has a latté, which was very good.
The food on offer looked good, the staff were helpful and cheerful. The place was clean and tidy.
A nice establishment to visit
This cafe serves some of the best food I ever tasted as well as a large selection of food it has lots of places to sit and warm up after a long walk. The place it is in is simply beautiful and there are so many walks to do I love going there and I always want to come back
A great National Trust Place. Cafe is has a good range of food & drink. Staff are friendly and helpful. Toilets ate kept reasonably clean. The valley is great for picnics & kids. A sream runs down where kids like to play in. Fantastic panoramic views. Such a lovely place to sit & take in the atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Edit - I originally gave only 1 star as the cafe previously wasn't dog friendly, however, they have updated their policy and now it is which is great news and very much welcomed by the huge amount of dog walkers who visit the area each year, and the locals. Nice friendly staff and a fantastic setting
Bit expensive, but very tasty food. Perfect treat after a long walk!
A great cafe and facilities, love the upstairs terrace where we could take the dogs but now NT have come to their senses and have a couple of tables inside where you are welcome to sit with well behaved dogs. Thank you, it's much appreciated.
Awesome day spent wandering around the hills. Can drive to the top to take in the spectacular views while at the bottom the cafe is great for lunch and more information on the valley.
Nice friendly staff and plenty and a great location
Very nice place, lovely settings, very expensive place to eat, even for basic food, not being jewish or tight I can literally afford to eat anyway and pay any prices but
basically i really think they are ripping you off. Keith Stourbridge.
