We really enjoyed an excellent meal. The menu was extensive and varied. Prices have increased since our last visit (haven't every venue). It was a week day lunch time so was quiet hence not possible to rate atmosphere but I get impression it would be buzzing at weekends. Dog friendly and good level
A really lovely pub. A very old, thatched building and sympathetically decorated inside. The bit by the "fire" is exceptionally cosy. Lovely beer garden to the rear, with a small area to keep small people entertained. Dogs allowed in the bar area and outside. Food was great and the prices were re
Very attractive pub from the outside which prompted us to turn around and drive into the ample car park. On entering the pub it was modern and clean. We were greeted by a charming and friendly young man that showed us to a table and took our orders. The food arrived in a very reasonable time and was

Great lunch stop after a walk. Good beer and sandwiches. Friendly staff.
The pub is set in a beautiful location among the rolling hills of Shropshire not too far from Carding Mill valley. So a great spot to go after a hard day's walking in the hills. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The roast beef dinner was amazing. As were the vegetarian options also. Hat
Popped in for lunch chose the Wenlock sausages and Chantilly 🥕 it came with a fabulous gravy/sauce. Just missed a few onions imo. Staff were excellent as usual, not that I am a regular, but I do pop in from time to time.
Very good Sunday roast. Generous portion of veg. However, opted for the mixed meat roast , beef and pork, which is an extra £2 but somehow had less meat than my wife’s beef roast. Very nice though but no way did less meat justify the premium price. Once slice of each where my wife had 3 slices of be
Absolutely fab service. Meals were ec. Super choice for vegetarians. And most importantly for us , dog friendly too. Excellent!
Really good food, lovely local style pub with a great pub garden. Nice selection of beers and the bar staff seemed very friendly. Highly recommended !
Stunning thatched pub decorated with colourful hanging baskets very picturesque. We hadn't booked so sat outside in the garden in the extra seated area on bales of hay, different but added more fun to our experience ! Food was amazing served by friendly staff and prompt service. Would definitely rec
Visited the Pound Inn as was passing and was search of a good meal. When we pulled in to the carpark we could see good access to the gardens and pub. We noted that they were advertising 'the home of the pie' so we both decided to have a pie each. You get to choose from several pies, 2 sides and a gr
Plenty of parking here, good food and reasonably priced drinks. There was live music when we visited which added to the atmosphere. A great pub that’s worth a visit.
Not everything is a pound but it is good value. Lovely food and a good selection of local ales all served in pleasant surroundings.
We have been here a few times as its a lovely place to stop and have some nice food. There build your own pie is brilliant. The staff are very professional and friendly, they make you feel right at home. The food is so lovely and fresh and you can tell its homemade. The beer is nice and local too.
Good beer choice, friendly service and you must try the Pie menu - brilliant! Recommended.
