First class food and service
We popped into The Plough for a drink while on a country walk and it didn’t disappoint.
A wonderfully traditional pub with great character. A Fire place in one room, a baby grand piano in another and the décor interesting.
We spent an entertaining couple of hours havi
Some good ales on tap, plenty of space between 3 seperate drinking areas as well as a restaurant area. Apparently the ladies toilets are ornate :)
What a lovely little pub.
Home cooked food and large portions. Who minds waiting a little longer for something home cooked and tasty.
Lovely owners who took the time to talk to us on what had been a very busy lunch period.
Limited menu at the time but still plenty to chose from.
No kids menu as such
Had lunch and a few pints here while staying at Eaton Manor. The food was delicious and plentiful and the setting can only be described as a proper pub. The owners were helpful and had good craic. Plus it's dog friendly. If we ever go back to that neck of the woods we will definitely return.
I've lived in Shropshire for years but had never tried The Plough before. What a find, cute pub with really cosy decor - love the colour of the walls. The owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food, clearly cooked to order, was delicious. Looking forward to visiting again.
Go and enjoy a real English pub with fantastic hosts, Rosemary & Chris. We went twice over Easter 2015 and enjoyed the whole experience. Chris has several real ales and good wines and the menu is extensive covering everyone in terms of taste and budget. The pub is children and dog friendly and quite
After an afternoon out traveling from Buxton in Derbyshire and exploring North Shropshire we called in this pub randomly as we saw signs for Carvery. Instantly we were welcomed by the friendly staff. The pub had an instant warmly feel and very cozy. The pub itself felt like a home very quirky lots o
The best Sunday lunch we have ever had. Everything cooked fresh and using local produce. Great owners who did all they could to make our meal special.
What can one say about this place - fantastic is the one word that fits. Great food, excellent beer, open fires, friendly locals and probably best of all, Rosemary and Chris, your hosts. We love it here and you will too. Give it a try. Enjoy.
Had a lovely meal in this cosy pub on Saturday. Magical ambience with log fires, candles and comfortable surroundings, food was excellent and very reasonable, service was really friendly. A wonderful evening, would definitely recommend.
Was passing by during a roadtrip whist visiting from Australia, and really glad I did. The company and atmosphere were nice, and the size of my lunch was epic. In the end it defeated me, but it was a very pleasurable battle.
Wonderful pub, dog friendly, fantastic owners that make you welcome as soon as you walk in the door.
Highly recommend the food, all freshly prepared.
