Walked in on the off-chance after long journey to rural campsite, on Good Friday.
It was busy but staff very welcoming. Got us a table right in the thick of it where you wanna be on a Friday night. Live music was great foot stamping stuff, menu brilliant, I could've eaten all of it, food was delicious, beer was perfect, overall superb atmosphere.
A pleasure to find a real country pub still exists and hasn't gone all "gastro" but stuck to it's roots and has a friendly local crowd as a result. Thumbs up!

We stayed in Chumleigh for a couple days, so visited this pub.
First night I had one of the best Pizzas I'd ever had. Second night; for our anniversary; we had the best steak we have ever had......not even close.

A lovely warm and welcoming hotel. The roast is to die for and the staff are so lovely and helpful. My Dad lives local and he is so lucky to have such a lovely warm place to go to eat/drink on his doorstep 😊🍺🍷
This is a great place to stay I would recommend if you want to book phone them up not to book on a website like booking.com or travargo because it keeps saying they are full when they are not but the breakfast is amazing and the dinner is even better and the beds are really comfortable and the shower is really relaxing and the staff are really nice and helpful I cannot recommend enough
Just visited this establishment whilst visiting friends in the area and found it to be very welcoming had a three course meal which was very good and reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay and eat
Service was prompt, atmosphere was busy and there were places to sit. Only had a snack and wasn't in there long, but they had green tea and for the younger ones among us there was marshmallows on the hot chocolate. That's extra points in my book.
The accommodation is of a high standard. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is also of a great standard. It was a great find and we will be visiting it again.

Very friendly staff and the food is great. Lovely lasagne and Hunter's chicken plus lots of other good choice of food. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic pub and restaurant. The takeaway Pizzas are amazing, but the restaurant food is also really excellent. Service is always quick and friendly. Highly recommended.
