Been here years ago, anhd the food was always good. I believe it was taken over by new owners and again, it's still really good. Been for two Sunday Lunches. And the portions are pretty big, and the food very tasty! My only gripe is the Sunday food options is very limited. (I do get why it's limited
** Dog friendly ** lovely food served by friendly waitresses who checked on us plenty of times. The pub was quiet but we turned up 45 minutes before they started serving food. Nice atmosphere and a choice of places to sit, either comfy sofas or dinning tables. Would definitely return.
Very nice rural pub with a large (free) car park; easy to reach (by car). Unfortunately, we only had an excellent (freshly prepared!) breakfast, but we'd certainly like to come back again sometime! There is also a large beer garden with a children's playground to the rear... By the way, breakfast st
Came for a Sunday roast recently and we were not disappointed. Due to me being a coeliac, the roast was all gluten free and the chef made me a separate dish of cauliflower cheese when I arrived. On a busy Sunday, I couldn’t of appreciated this more. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Good a
Tasty Sunday roast, well cooked and substantial portions. Attentive staff, Ellie was so helpful and friendly. No replacement for cauliflower cheese for coeliac and cheese hater! Otherwise it would have been another star.
Visited for a very early morning Coffee and Classics car meet. Excellent fresh coffee but sadly we didn't try the breakfast. Next time maybe! Lovely old building and its only just off the A38. Nice looking menu with reasonable prices. Has a very inviting garden area with seating to the rear.
food was nice and decent enough ....local cider was good service was ok ...location was good an overall 7/10 experience
Delicious food, pub looks very lovely inside and also has a place outside to enjoy a sunny weather with a tasty beer or cider. We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday today and we will definitely come back for more! Very nice atmosphere, very good service and yummy food!
Great pub. Amazing views, good park for the kids. Beer was excellent and the food first class. Service was brill too. Thoroughly recommended.
Great to visit this afternoon, seems so long since I was here last, always great food, and drinks with a strong accent on local produce... My ancestors (the Cobley family) used to live in the left hand side of this building as you now look at it from the car park, perhaps 150 years back, hence why
Nice place! Overnight stay by van, if you get some food and some good otter ales too ;)- 😄! Vegan and vegetarian options available!
I booked a table here for a Tuesday lunchtime to celebrate my mum and stepdad getting married. We had 6 adults, 3 young children and two teenagers in our party and we were so well looked after. Our table was beautifully laid out with 2 complementary bottles of prosecco which I thought was very kind.
This was such a great find. We were so warmly welcomed by the staff and the roaring fire. They made such a fuss of our dog with treats and attention. The food was delicious, the staff were attentive and we couldn't fault anything! The space is bright and airy, with really nice features. We highly re
First time since old pub. Wow what a difference, everything updated, good layout and outside. We had light lunch with sandwiches & chips. Freshly local food, tasty and worth every penny. Service was superb, smiling greeting and pleasurable experience. We will visit more.
So welcoming. Food delicious with very little waiting. The waiter was very kind and assisted my husband, who has Parkinsons Disease, on a couple of occasions. They loved our dog and provided both water and treats. We'll definitely be returning.
Great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful gardens and a play area for the kids. We had a Sunday Roast, which is highly recommended! Very tasty, good portions and there is a vegetarian option too. Some of just about managed to squeeze in a dessert too, which were equally good.
Very nice. Was welcomed with a warm smile, very friendly, had good variety on menu including drinks and very reasonably priced. Drinks were promptly brought to the table. Food came very quickly after. Staff were lovely and attentive. Very nice experience. Layout is amazing from comfortable cosy area
Nice summer afternoon on our visit. Lots of outdoor seating on the patio area and in the kids play area. Bouncy castle too (maybe only summer?). Good real ales from Devon based Hanlon brewey👍served by friendly staff. A real gem, worth a visit.
