Sunday lunch was amazing, the place is decorated so well and all the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend this place, it was recommended to us and it didn’t fail to meet its expectation 5 out of 5 from us, see you again on our next visit to Finlake, a little tip if you are going book in advance �
Being a hen party of 16 is hard but the staff were so accommodating and very friendly. Food was absolutely amazing...not 1 thing you could fault...the cheeky waiter made the Evening! Thoroughly recommend and definitely worth the money. Fine dining at its best. Thank you for looking after us all. If ever back in the area we shall be visiting again.
I organised a baby shower to take place at the Phoenix last weekend and we had a great time and the food was Fantastic. Tracey the owner accommodated our request of afternoon tea for 13 and the food was lovely best smoked salmon sandwich I have had in a long time and melt in the mouth scones. Best restaurant in Chudleigh for food x
I booked a table for for my birthday last night with the family.The food was absolutely amazing the staff cannot do enough for you. It's so nice to have somewhere local to go with fabulous food and great service. Thank you guys you made my birthday extra special. Can't wait to come back. X
We have eaten here twice over the weekend. Pre-wedding breakfast on New Year's Eve which was very nice & served quickly considering how busy they were.
We then went in for a roast on New Year's Day, again the food was spot on with ample served to the table.

Visit this place for dinner whenever we are in the area and we are always really happy with our food, we always choose 3 courses and the children are always happy with their choice.

Blown away with the food in here tonight and the lovely lady who served us! We drove 5.5hours to come here on holiday and I would happily drive this all over again just to have that food again! Could not recommend highly enough....great value for money too, well done!

My Partner took me here for dinner on Saturday night. It was so lovely the atmosphere was so relaxing, staff were friendly and the food was fantastic. I had the Pigeon and my partner had the Steak cooked exactly how he likes it.

Mixed feelings at the table. Scallops were great as starter. Misto Fristo not that good. Mussels were nice. Filled blaice was ok.. dont be in a rush, kitchen needs their time. Waitresses informed us in advance. So it wasn't a surprise
Sunday - roast beef & veg, absolutely gorgeous, followed by rhubarb cheesecake. Great food, great staff, good value for money. And dog friendly too. We will definitely be back
Had a really good meal with family to mark a Diamond Wedding anniversary. It was special and all the staff at the Phoenix at Chudleigh helped to make it a special celebration.
Returned recently for a meal with my partner & the quality of the food did not disappoint. A really wonderful steak served just as I like was really really good.
Back in Chudleigh for a few days so enjoying the really good food on offer at the Phoenix. 👍👍👍
Called in on a Tuesday evening lovely food and service. Nice to see the veggie options at the top of the menu. The deserts were very good.

I visited the Phoenix in Chudleigh on Wednesday 16 October 2019 in the early evening, a weekday during term time. I was with one other person. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place.
I parked in the street right outside the restaurant - parking was easy.
The restaurant comprises of one fairly large sized pub style main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service.
The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I enjoyed a baked camembert sharer for my starter and a delicious chicken burger with added cheese and bacon with a side of onion rings for my main course. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was very good value for money, I paid around £25 for two courses and drinks.
Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come and visit again.

Went in on the ofchance there was a table as we had not booked. We were greeted and attended to by a lovely lady called Ema (spelt with one M she informed me when I asked!) She was very patient when my partner had to ask about a certain ingredient that she could not eat and was very helpful and she was very personable. The food we had was superb and easily one of the best steaks I've had from a restaurant in a long time.
