Ship In Distress - Christchurch - Photo album

What a beautiful cosy pub, I've just visited the ship in distress as part of my work... I was greeted by Gary and Deana, Two of the most nicest people you could wish to meet... Owners like these really make a pub worth visiting. As I was busy carrying out my work these guys were busy cleaning and
Lovely pub to eat and drink lots of space inside and outdoor seating. Car park spaces and reasonable menu prices. Great choices of food and drink, it's also clean and tidy. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and attentive. We had fish and chips, which were really nice with mushy peas and tarter sauce.
The £16 two course meal was great value and good food too. It deserves some support. Service was quick, chatty. It was a Wednesday night and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our new favourite pub. The food is superb, you may think "oh, it's pub food" but it's so much better than that. The whole ambience is very conducive to good drinking and good eating. Can't recommend this enough.
We just went there as a family. Nice roast dinners. Mrs enjoyed her Veggie option. 😀
Yesterday's visit: food was nice - a healthy salad. Service friendly. The atmosphere was quite quiet and the music a good mix, and not loud :) .
What a great find. Staff are great food is amazing the chef catered for everyone needs. Will go back every time. Kids loved it and best of all it's dog friendly
This is a very nice pub, good attentive and polite staff and a good selection of well cooked, tasty pub style food. In the good weather there is a large outdoor space at the back. Overall a very good pub where we will be going back to the next time we visit our daughter and family.
Proper English pub vibe, environment, friendly service and delicious food. One of the best chicken Schnitzel I have had.
The food is very tasty and been back a few times. Service could be a bit better
Great place, great food (honestly they really know how to cook a steak and more) totally recommend Ship in Distress for great service, food, atmosphere and people
Good food and nice service. We're there to book a function and were very pleased.
Four adults and two kids for lunch, three courses each for average of £30 per adult and £15 per kid. Average price for a meal today but the difference was the quality of the food which was excellent. Very well cooked and good size portions and served quickly with a smile. Have already booked again f
Had out work Xmas meal there last night, food was as expected...perfect. Lovely pub and staff, highly recommended great atmosphere. Please go there, you'll be impressed, much better than the chain pubs. Thanks to all the staff for a great evening.
Great pint and always welcoming! Cheers, guys.
Went here many moons ago and visited again with friends who are local recently on a Thursday night. What a transformation!!! Still very much a pub, pub, if you know what I mean, but upgraded and updated by the present landlord (I presume) fantastically well. It was a quiz night so even though it was
