Went last night, first time for a while. Waiter recommended the mixed platter sharer for starter, wise choice - best Prawn Puri I've ever tasted. I always try to have something different each visit so went with a fish Bombay curry which was superb. Cans of Strongbow to drink, always a winner. Will be returning, been too long!!
Wonderful food and an excellent table service. The staff are friendly and I was pleased that they had nuggets and chips on the menu for our children as they would not have eaten a curry.
Best curry I think I've ever had. Fantastic food - really well flavoured. Great portion sizes, and the staff are lovely. Went here on a TablePounce deal which was amazing but I'd happily pay full price and I'll definitely be back! Highly recommended

Took a recommendation from one member of staff for a new dish to dry and was very pleasantly surprised.
All meals was cooked to a high standard and no complaints.
I did rate the atmosphere as 4 stars only because it felt a bit dated but that's only being picky .. overall a good night had ๐
Have just eaten here for the first time having lived in Christchurch my entire life. The food was plentiful and extremely tasty. Wahi (apologies if spelling is wrong) our waiter was a very nice young man and a credit to the business. We will definitely be eating here again.

The curry was good especially the fish curry. The only thing to let it down was, and it may have been a bad batch at the time, 11 stale poppadoms. They may have been fresh but not stored correctly after frying. One of the members of staff chased me down to give me my salad when I picked up my order, he must know that I love salad. The iceberg lettuce in the salad had brown at the edges and was not eaten anyway.
It was a bit quiet but the food is excellent. A very large menu to choose from.

Anything but standard! We chose this takeaway because of their excellent vegetarian options and were not disappointed! We shared a veg masala between two and ordered lots of different starters and sides. They were all incredible, especially the Aloo Gobi (cauliflower was so tender and delicious). Would absolutely order again, my only wish is that we found this place sooner! Absolutely one of the best Indian takeaways we've had. And excellent value.

Booked here for a curry and picked the special Wednesday night banquet offer. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and very nice from start to finish, my curry was made to the way I like it. The table service was very fast and friendly and each was course was perfect. The service from the owners son was fantastic, he is a very friendly and nice person brilliant service. Would definitely recommend this curry house and will come here again if every down this way again. Thankyou ๐๐

Flavour overload!
Havenโt ordered/visited Standard for a while but Father in law said he had a superb Chicken Tikka Dhansak from here the other week (and itโs his sons favourite too) Obviously itโs delivery only. Arrived about an hour after ordering online (which I thought was pretty good during lockdown). Very tasty, piping hot and good value for money. Plenty of meat in the curryโs and the taster starter for 2 was good. Highly recommend
I'm sitting in the standard Bengal writing this review after eating the most brilliant meal. The food was fantastic, the service first class with such friendly staff. Not many diners in the restaurant but then it is a Wednesday night and you'd expect that.
We are only in Christchurch for 2 nights but if we were local we would certainly return. A must to try.

For the first time I ordered a take away to be delivered. The food was the best authentic Indian food I have found in the entire Bournemouth/Poole/Christchurch area. I would highly recommend this place and the delivery time was spot on as well. I am looking forward to booking a table and going there with some friends.
