Myself and my partner along with our dog Bailey visited the "Applestore" yesterday - Bank Holiday Monday , for breakfast before a gentle walk around the grounds and a loop of Snow Hill .
We both chose the scrambled eggs with fresh salmon , and Bailey went for sausages .
All arrived cooked to perfection and tasted great - yeah alright , I swiped a bit of Bailey's . The pot of tea that accompanied our breakfast was as usual served in a splendid tea pot with China cups and saucers - very British , and again was perfect .
Walk completed , it was back to the Applestore , Scortons best , for "Eton Mess" cake and lattès enjoyed in the garden .
What a great place the Applestore is . It's more than a cafe , and at the same time not at all pretentious in any way . What it does , it does very well . The food is always lovely , the staff are always capable , the location is superb , and the price is more than acceptable for its quality . We will definitely be back .
Great location housing a lovely cafe, with lots of seating space giving you ample opportunity to dine on the delicious menu..particular attention was made to the cakes and we weren’t disappointed. Highly recommend a visit!
Had a lovely afternoon at Wyresdale Park today. Enjoyed lunch at the Apple Store Cafe. Staff very polite and friendly. Well worth a visit, highly recommend and definitely will visit again.
Great place to have some breakfast before a walk up to Nicky Nook! Or a great place to grab some lunch after the walk. Lovely cafe, gorgeous setting and great parking too!
I booked the Apple Store for afternoon tea for 11 people, the service was fantastic. Drinks was served straight away then soon came our afternoon tea! It was perfect, great value for money at only £12.50 a head! Boxes was proved to take home all the cakes we couldn't eat. Overall a great afternoon for birthday celebrations and I'll definitely return again! ☺️
This place is amazing. The food and the surroundings were stunning. Highly recommend this place to all.
Had lunch here yesterday, delicious food and lovely staff! Been for afternoon tea before which is also outstanding. Tasty food and a lovely place.
Great place ,food perfect staff friendly ,give it a try you won’t be disappointed..
Lovely welcoming Cafe , our second visit for breakfast took my sister for her first visit who also found to be excellent value for money . Only gripe the first time we visited we got coffee in a pot which we thought was a lovely touch , this time on Sunday when we visited we just got mugs , was still nice but I had expressed to my sister about the coffee pot . We will be back .
Beautiful outdoor and indoor cafe with a magnificent view of Scorton . Outdoor play area for the kids and lots of dog walkers stopping for a drink. A great find - 11 mins walk from Scorton village. And plenty of walks around the cafe . Very relaxing and just had a drink but the food looked great . Will be going again soon
Gorgeous scenery and a lovely little cafe with yummy food and a great atmosphere. Theres even a brilliant play area for the kids. They even do loads of gluten free food and mostly home made. One of my favourites.
A lovely place to visit, this was my first visit, but I shall certainly go again, possibly for lunch, or afternoon tea, the cakes looked delicious.
Found this by pure luck on a walk with my wife and children. Absolutely fantastic place with great staff, superb homemade food and brilliant adventure playground for the children. Will 100% be returning.
A great atmosphere with plenty of outdoor space and quirky sitting areas surrounded by woodlands and flowers. A large conservatory where you can sit and enjoy breakfast and lunch. Vegan and gluten free friendly foods and cakes!!! Inside the conservatory you have a large grape vine plant surrounding the whole entire glass roof, looks amazing. I had a Mexican style breakfast with added goat cheese which complimented my lunch perfectly. Wonderful array of home made cakes!!! Then surrounding this wonderful place, you have individual independent shops. We also visited this lovely gentlemen who explained how to make Gin. You can pay for a package where they reach you how to make and you can go foraging for your ingredients to really get the whole experience. We bought a bag to take to try out their signature Gins. Also there is a wedding Yurts you can hire for your guess’s. We also walked further to these individual big flanking tents that you can book with huge dining tables, wood cooking facilities, hidden beds to gain privacy, all this would be lit by candles lanterns that hang from the ceiling. This must look and feel amazing in the evening!!! Then discovered the outdoor shower shed with a pull down bucket! Think they have a gas cylinder where you can heat the water. Then discovered the hot tub which also gets heated up with logs!! Our door space for camp fire, another tent for games room and reading. A swing outside your tent, and then you walk a few seconds toward the lake where you can grab your boat and row away and take in the amazing views!
It is a lovely place, we sat outside with the dog and it feels very private as the benches are far apart in the garden. Food was excellent. And we bought cakes to take home. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Delightful cafe 10 minutes off the M6. We normally stop at Tebay on our journeys to/from the Midlands and NE Scotland, but have been disappointed with the quality there recently. Apple Store was a pleasant change with excellent home made food.
What an amazing find! Lovely surroundings, great menu, lovely food, friendly, helpful service and the cakes are wonderful! 10/10!!
Update 20/6/23 - still nice food but we waited 35 mins for it whilst watching others that came in after us receive their food. I enquired about ours and eventually received it after we had finished our drinks with no apology. An offer to top up our drinks would have been a nice gesture.
Called in for brunch this morning, couldn’t have been more pleased. We arrived with our 3 whippets & were told by staff it was no problem at all. The food arrived really quickly & was lovely xx thank you to everyone for making a Sunday walk really special, will definitely be calling in again soon xx
Attended the Christmas Elf Trail ans Christmas themed Applestore Cafe over the weekend. Only spent a couple of hours here but we had a great time. I had the full Breakfast on the menu and it was spot on. One of the best I've had! Fresh ingredients. Came with a lovely pot of tea too.
Everyone on site was really pleasant and seemed happy to be there. Really well organised and all the stalls made it all feel very festive 🎅🏼 they had a Santa's Grotto so was great for the kids & mulled wine for the adults.
Definitely be returning to Applestore Cafe in the new year.
Cheers guys!
A lovely cafe in a great walking location. We went on a bank holiday and despite being very busy, service was prompt and the food was good.
After travelling back to Oxfordshire we realised we left a pair of walking boots in the car park. Sally from the Cafe kindly retrieved the boots and posted them to us. Such great service!
Was brought by a friend of mine to this lovely place tucked away by peaceful nature. Fabulous service and location, made better by the surroundings and the food.
I opted for the Full English where mushrooms and tomatoes were substituted at no hassle at all. The presentation was very appealing, and the food itself was outstanding. You can tell in the flavour how fresh and local the produce is, by far the best bacon I've ever had also! Everything was superb and I can't wait to return, by far the best Full English breakfast I've had to date, extremely impressed by this experience and would recommend it to anyone who is passing by.
Nice family morning breakfast out.
Good choice of food and quality was good. All staff we dealt with were pleasant and accommodating. Just lacked a bit if organisation and attention to detail.
Had to ask for cleaner cups. Crockery and facilities, need a bit of an update.
There's a distinct difference between recycling and "ready for the bin"
.... seems to bit too much focus on the "outdoor experience" and not enough attention to detail ie crockery and furniture.
Lovely location. It gets heaving at weekends. Meals and cakes are delicious. They start taking orders for lunch at 1130. Good time to get there, have a brew and order! Then wait in the tranquil surroundings. Don't rush, enjoy the country garden atmosphere.
Wonderful place to enjoy after a walk. Great staff and great food and coffee
Amazing gem on the fringes of the Bowland Forest in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Walking distance from Scorton. Super friendly staff with amazing service and food.
Amazing little cafe, food was spot on and staff very friendly. Dogs also welcome which was great to see. Nice little find! Lovely surroundings too fab for walks
Pleasant cafe with helpful staff. Daily specials ( the special burger today was was really nice), good size portions. Reasonable prices. Brunch, lunch and afternoon menus.
First visit. Great atmosphere. Outside inside. Just had 2 hot chocolates with cream. Hot and very nice. Friendly team. Worth a visit.
Really nice spot. A little out of the way but good menu and tasty food in lovely surroundings. We will be back.
