Wonderful family and staff that own it very welcoming even more so the dogs! You have got to try the German food it is amazing. There is traditional pub food as well. One of my favourite places to go and one of the best walks around the 3 reservoirs.
A Great Friendly Pub with some excellent food. It’s a good welcoming place to visit after taking one of the many walks from its doorstep. Some excellent walking for all abilities. Food has been available every time we’ve visited with something for everyone on the menu. I’ve got my favourites. If you

Always a good meal and really good beer. Dog friendly and reasonable prices too. (Double cheeseburger by request). Highly recommended.
Really decent pub. We arrived for a walk around the reservoirs and parked up on the main road, and finished at the pub for a quick bite. We had some cheesy chips, a couple of drinks, and a sticky toffee pudding cake, which was delicious! The staff were super friendly and chatty.
Great food so cheap sandwhich and chips £7! perfect for after a walk on the resivour
popped in after walking the dog around the nearby reservoir. We found a very welcoming pub with friendly staff. Good pub grub at reasonable prices and a nice chilled white wine. Dog friendly too. Will be back, very good.
Lovely 4 mile walk... you can park your car on their carpark as long as you stop for a drink and and a bite to eat. The bonus is great food available, what more can you ask for 😁
Stopped for a drink and a light meal whilst walking. Landlady and staff very friendly and attentive. Shame it wasn't busier but would highly recommend.
Lovely place to eat especially after a long walk. Fantastic choice of homemade food, they've even added a little German twist on their menu.
Great little pub...didn't have any food..dog friendly nice walks across the way...
Nice coffee and ice cream. Dog friendly and there is a big walk directly behind here. Small car park and food available.
Delish food, friendly staff
Lovely walk with a friend and my dog, then we called here for lunch. We had pulled beef barm cakes, chips and coleslaw, absolutely delicious, with a pot of tea which was a good strong brew. Highly recommend. Will be visiting again. Dog friendly pub too.
This is our safe pub for food. Always good especially the chilli, very friendly staff and a lovely country pub to boot. A lovely walk too along the Dam.
This is a great friendly pub. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice and chilled.
Decent food, decent prices and in a lovely setting. Last orders for food is 5.45 which seems really early. Extremely dog friendly which is always nice to see! If you're in the area then definitely pop in, you won't be disappointed.
