Loverrrrrrrrrly! Would recommend you eating at the Foresters but if you cannot, then the delivery service is just as good and you get to eat a filling lunch in your own home

I hadn't been in here for 35 years and the transformation is amazing. We went with 2 friends. Our church joined us. They don't usually serve food on a Monday but made an exception. Anything on the special menu £7.95. I ordered chicken bites with chips and peas, pure chicken breast in a batter, (chicken nuggets). I couldn't eat it all. Was fantastic. Hubby ordered the burger and our friends ordered the giant Yorkshire pud filled with mince and scampi. Everything was well presented and there were no complaints. 2 of us then had sticky toffee pudding with custard. This was so light and delicious. Staff were so friendly. Our vicar even played the piano. We will be going back regularly

Lovely managers who went out of their way to accommodate our group last Sunday. One thing I especially like is that you can choose a big or a small lunch. (The big is very big!). Choose from beef, chicken, gammon, or Quorn. Great Yorkie puds. Good variety of veg. Inc. broccoli and swede. Delicious desserts. The reason for not giving 5 stars is that the pub could do with renovation. It is very traditional but also rather worn. Will defo return and strongly recommend for Sunday lunch.

This is a pub I like, first called in a long time ago, the lady that had it then her daughter was training to be a nurse, some of the locals will remember. Only call in every 5 or 6yrs but it has changed very little, still a bar with a welcoming feeling about it and sitting listening to the locals telling their stories is entertaining. On the edge of the village so outsiders drive in drive out but if you arrive at the right time worth it.

Been a few times over the years, Jim and the team are always welcoming. Just picked up some Sunday dinners for take out which are top notch. Unfortunately there was a mix up when picking them up and we were 2 kids dinners short, easy mistake to make. Went back and Jim sorted it straight out and put in a few puddings for the kids FOC. Oh and a while back he took me and my brother in law back home after a night on the drink to save us the walk. 👍🏼
