It's a lovely hotel. Very friendly staff and a lovely atomosphere. Great facilities. Would recommend friends to stay and will definitely be looking to stay again.

We have just returned home from a truly beautiful meal at the half moon. The food was fab, the service superb and yes we did take advantage of the special doubles price. Well done half moon we will be back.
We had an excellent meal in here the other night, the fish was fantastic, even edible flowers. I would definitely recommend this if you want a terrific meal. Well Done you guys.

Didn't get the daily housekeeping that we asked for on the form we had to fill in upon arrival & the beds were softer than we would have liked. The shower also had quite a bit of mould & the doors didn't shut properly.
The food though was very nice, plentiful & the staff were really very helpful & very pleasant.

I was not the only one who loved it. everyone I spoke to said how lovely the staff food and rooms were.
Nothing was too much trouble for any one of the wonderful staff.

Booked up via phone. Shown straight to seat. No pressure to order food straight away. Menu varied and caters for most dietary needs. We ordered starters and mains. Really tasty, hot food and plenty of it. So much food brought quite a bit home too good to waste. Staff were friendly and attentive. Busier than what we thought it might be for a Monday night. A testament in it's self.
Lovely pub in the quiet village of stakeford! Food was delicious and the staff were lovely. Nice to see this local pub thriving!
Booked a room for two people and two dogs. Allocated one of the lovely little bungalows to the rear of the car park. Spacious and super clean! We decided to have dinner which was amazing. Pub was extremely busy which is always a good sign and we weren't disappointed. Breakfast the following morning was fabulous although we went for quick sandwiches the huge stotties were so good. Great place, fab service and amazing food.
Just had a lovely stay here with our 2 dogs, food was excellent, both the evening meal and breakfast, staff where amazing and the room was clean well equipped and a good size. Also nice and quiet the rooms are set slightly away from the pub so no noise.
Had a lovely meal here but I found the service very slow although the place didn’t appear to be over busy. The impression was that they needed more staff. Having said that we would definitely recommend the food.

An absolutely wonderful, dog friendly restaurant, the staff couldn't have been more pleasant, they serve real ale, and the food was to die for. Highly recommended.

Great modern pub with a good atmosphere and food to match! Especially like the new lunch menu. Dog friendly.
Food is great here! I have recently eaten here 4-5 times and have yet to be disappointed. Bottomless brunch was great value, midweek lunch was fab- especially the cauliflower soup! Sunday lunches are gorgeous, and the staff are friendly! Would definitely recommend.
What a little gem of a pub. It has a warm atmosphere when entering and the bar/dining area is adequate.
A good selection of draught beers/lagers as well as bottle beers and lagers.
The menu has a varied choice and is well priced.
The staff were friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Our food arrived within 20/25 minutes of ordering and we weren't disappointed. Everything cooked to perfection. Only complaint is that the plates could have been a bit hotter.
But regardless, a nice dining experience and we will visit again.
As it was rather busy at 1.15, perhaps the best option is to pre book a table.
Best sunday dinner i've had out without a doubt. Big portions, quality homecooked food. Pricey but worth it.
