Every time we come we have the feeling of a great country pub. My wife and i usually go adhock as we are nt pub goers. The bar staff are always pleasant and cheerful. We hadnt reserved a table but just had a drink at first. Was told kitchen was on last orders. We had the Farmhouse pate meal before so asked the waiter would it be possible to have one
He was so good and asked. They really made our night by doing it for us. We are fairly regular and always had good service from the staff. Highly recommend for a wuiet peaceful drink in pleasant surroundings.
My first visit to the Tigers Head, and found the Staff friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, cooked fresh, served attractive, and the best white wine spritzer I have had .will certainly visit again, and look forward to trying more items on the menu.
Excellent service from the staff, particularly the Lithuanian waiter. The food was delicious and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Thank you everyone at the Tigers Head.
Lovely place.... food & staff excellent. We love it there ❤️👍🏼 !!
Brand new management in the tigers head, the staff are outstanding , so friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was fantastic , so tasty and one of the best meals I've had in a while.
Great service lovely meal & well worth the money.... so happy days
This is a wonderful place. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was amazing. And the service, which is the only part I can comment on with some authority with my background, is first class.
JIMMY and SCOTT treat everyone so well (and professionally) along with the team of staff they have with them. I would not hesitate to recommend this pub. It's a jewel right here on our door step.
I don't remember the last time I could not choose which was better the food or the service. The group of friends I went with and I have not stopped talking about this place.
A dream of mine would be to say the line "Go to so and so, and tell so and so I sent you." I definitely want to be a regular at the Tigers Head no doubt about it. But there's no need to drop names because everyone is a guest there!
My review maybe vague, but that's because you have to experience it for yourselves.
So I'll leave you with this one request "Go to the Tigers Head and tell Jimmy and Scott I sent you"
Amazing location. We always have a great time here! Supper club or Sunday roast this never disappoints. Staff are always friendly , and the food is delicious. Dog friendly too and it had a great little beer garden for when the weathers nice. Everyone we bring here loves it! Would highly recommend!
Can’t rate this place enough!
Food was amazing with great portions, Scott the waiter made us feel so welcome almost like we knew him he made us feel so comfortable and was absolutely hilarious! Highly recommended!
After a hike through the woods we popped into the Tigers Head for tea and chips. The best chips ever! We had a lovely little spot by the window overlooking the common. Jimmy served us with our order and was very friendly and welcoming. We look forward to coming again very soon.
Great food. I ordered the salad and my partner ordered the pie. Cosy setting and pretty surroundings. The malbec rose was delicious also.
Went for brunch with the family and was met by a very friendly member of the team (Scott). Scott showed us to our table and made our entire meal enjoyable and worth while. We were made to feel very welcome, and he listened to everything we had to ask (including ensuring one of our group had decaf coffee) . Was pleased to hear we came from the same area growing up. Scott was very kind and works very hard with a customer centred approach. Would definitely recommend going there and have already booked again for next month and for Christmas lunch. Food was very tasty and came very prompt with little wait time.
Very busy service, our server Scott was attentive and friendly.
Chicken and gammon pie was delicious.
Will come again soon.
Service was slow but great environment and best brownies I’ve had in my life
Staff really friendly and helpful Jimmy served us all and was a super star ⭐️ food amazing second time have been here and will come again.
Such a great pub! Food was great and the service was excellent! Scott went out of his way to make us feel welcome and was very accommodating for everything we needed. We’re not local but if ever we’re nearby we’ll definitely stop here again 😊
This is such a lovely place to go for food especially the Sunday roast!! One employee, Harriet, was exceptionally amazing! Such a lovely and approachable person! Definitely a massive asset to the pub!
The food was really good and the service attentive and efficient. We were impressed how quick the orders were taken and the food was coming out. Would recommend
Lovely lunch at the Tiger’s Head. Fantastic choice on the menu and we all enjoyed everything we had. Special mention for the Korean chicken strips which are a crunchy, spicy delight. Many thanks to Scott for his attentive and cheerful service.
If I could give 3.5 stars I would but settled for 4 as 3 is too low! A lovely pub with a nice atmosphere and interior. There was 8 of us and we had booked in advance, they gave us more than enough space which is nice as usually places will try to cram you on to tiny tables but not here. There was lots of items missing off the menu however it was quite late into the evening so not a problem. However was quite dissatisfied at the fact that one of the dishes was meant to come with onion rings and it was only when we asked where they were as they weren’t on the plate, the waitress went to check and informed us that they didn’t have any. They didn’t offer an alternative or even reduce the price of an extra side we got with that dish. We also got a sirloin steak that was very chewy and not much of it was edible, however the other sirloin and rumps were very nice and cooked to perfection. A coke was £4.20 which is on the expensive side and tasted quite watered down. The food we did get tasted lovely and service was quick and attentive. I would definitely go back but just wish they were a bit more apologetic about missing food rather than it feeling like it was our problem.
We attended 'The Tiger's Head, ostensibly for a Saturday Morning Breakfast today at 9.45am.
The Standard of Service was both excellent by Natasha and her team (not to mention the Chef)!
The Breakfast was a 'Full English' and it transpired to be more than adequate, both in terms of Quantity and also Quality.
The Outlook from the Tiger's Head is pleasant and the entire experience was Splended, if not magnicifient. We are looking forward to the next visit to 'The Tiger's Head, with fondness>
Went last evening with booked table after recommendation. Our friends regularly take their lovely doggie with them, but my first time. Were given a table next to the doors leading to the garden, good atmosphere. Service was slow, we did not mind as we enjoyed a great bottle of french wine. Girls serving us were friendly and polite.
4 of us went for different starters and mains- I had courgettes and peper stack, super green salad with halloumi, apart from halloumi being dry and cold I was pleased with my choices. Where my other half and our friends were not very satisfied if I have to be honest. Meat in their opinion was dry and chewy, where our friend ordered medium rare- received a well done. The sea treats they had some were undercooked and some overcooked and very very dry. I was the only one having desert- I've chosen the salted caramel sunday and I can say with was simply great, combination of all worked really well and satisfied my sweet tooth.
Would most likely return again and give them another go, probably for their roast as most pp are recommended it
Excellent food and ambience!
Also amazing gluten free menu with a perfect gluten free Bakewell tart 👏🏽
Well positioned pub fayre at reasonable prices.
It's not trying to be an overpriced gastropub but offers a wide range of dishes that each of my party enjoyed. Service was balanced, no-one rushing us.
