The Waterloo Arms Hotel - Chirnside - Photo album

A little louder than our usual choice with a very lively atmosphere. However, the service was incredible, even catering for some special requests for a picky eater! The food itself was incredible too! Limited menu but every item on it was perfect. The scampi, battered haddock and steak pie are defin
Pizza night on a Wednesday you will not be disappointed😁their pizzas are fab and dough balls are amazing 😉fantastic friendly staff we went for the first time last week and it definitely won't be are last would 110% recommend the Waterloo Arms👍
Lovely pub, the meal was very tasty and good value for money. Made to feel very welcome by staff and customers. Dog friendly. Will definitely visit again. Thank you
A friendly country pub and hotel with restaurant and dog friendly bar. We had a generous roast beef Sunday lunch, but sadly no horseradish sauce, followed by a nice homemade raspberry cheesecake. A good selection of beers plus guest beer, also alcohol free beer and cider available.
Unexpected gem for a really good pub lunch of excellent quality. Friendly staff, and seems to have a nice mix of regulars. The sausage and mash with onion gravy was delicious.
Stayed two nights bed and breakfast. Plenty of car parking no evening meals available but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Real ale available from brewery's locally. Breakfast very good, rooms with tea/coffee making facilities our room had a bathroom with walk in shower, but some rooms share a large bat
Popped in for a half while walking the dog. Lovely pub with friendly staff. Restaurant wasn't open at lunchtime but they still offered to make us sandwiches, so we stayed for another couple of pints! 🍻
The were four of us, and 2 dogs. Booked for Sunday Dinner. Did not dissapoint. Everything was cooked perfectly and the roast beef was to die for. Would definitely recommend, staff were very welcoming and helpful.
We happened upon this pub during our week long stay in Chirnside in October. So glad we did. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious. We booked a table for Sunday lunch, a huge roast lunch served all afternoon with all the trimmings and then went for curry on Wednesday e
We spent two weeks holidaying in Scotland this September. The Waterloo was our first stop. The staff (Angie) and locals made us very welcome. Great place. Ps. Racing Green (ale) recommended 🍺
Well.....that was worth waiting for! Two monthsxto the day that we moved in, we finally got to eat in our local. And we were not disappointed. Sunday lunch was everything it should be, beautifully cooked and served efficiently and with friendliness and good humour....lovely. Add to that a very nice
I am not easy to please but this is the best place I have stayed so far in Scotland. I have been living here for almost six year and travelled a lot. Very clean, cosy, pretty and very nice hosts. Fantastic.
Visited with my wife for an evening meal. Another excellent meal served to both of us and a nice pint of real ale. Would definitely recommend the pub as have been on a number of previous occasions and have yet to be disappointed. Good service and friendly staff.
Very comfortable and welcoming place.
Good atmosphere, dog friendly and warm fire 🔥 good selection of real beers. Worth a visit
Very welcoming. Both staff and customers make you feel very welcome. Visited Racing hero Jim Clarke's grave in the cemetery across the road.
