Have to say, one of the best mixed grills I have had, every part was cooked perfectly, with perfect portions, which left room for pudding. PUDDINGS!!, where do I start, will leave that experience for you all to comment on. Great service, all staff were engaging. Very dog friendly. The last bit is, ignore the negative comments, completely wrong. Adrian & Wendy

A good Marstons with nice outdoor areas and direct access to the canal. It has an outdoor bar for sunny days and the order from the table app works well. The young serving team are all doing a good job. Plenty of car parking.

What a great place. We’re staying locally and came across this place on our canal walk. They were super busy but still willing to offer us a table. The pub is lovely with a great menu for Sunday tea time. We arrived with a four legged friend and he was probably better catered for than us. We will definitely be back. Great pub, great menu, great hosts.

Great place, we visited twice while on holiday. It would have been more but we only found it towards the end of our holiday. I require a gluten free diet and the menu choice was very good. Delighted that they stocked gluten free peroni. Dog friendly too!

A friendly canalside pub. They were super busy but still accommodated me for food in the bar area. They're part of the Marstons chain.

Very friendly & helpful staff. Very well trained! The food was amazing and good value! 2 courses for £14 from 12 noon to 5pm. Lovely garden. Very dog friendly. We were presented with a little box for the fog to use with a little blanket, a bottle of water, a water bowl & 3 dog biscuits! Right on the canal, so you can go for a walk too. Will definitely visit again!

We had a lovely meal here on way to Saundersfoot. Booked ahead as we had a motorhome and they were more than happy for us to stay overnight in car park. Steak was amazing as was the cheese pie. Staff very friendly and looked after our two dogs giving them treats, water and their own blanket to sit on. Definitely would go back.

We’ve been going here for over 10 years. Stayed at Lion Quays as hubby was having an op. The food there is disgusting. Anyway did lunch at The Poachers ..perfect. The governor and his wife were extremely attentive, helpful and respectful. The food was hot and portion size good. Our waitress was extremely professional. Keep up the good work.
