One of our go to pubs in the high st when we are out out. Walked the dog the other day and called in for a swift pint, they even have dogs bowls so your non human friend can have a drink to (water of course)
Often stop here for a pint on a Sunday afternoon , friendly service with a nice garden , Dog friendly too
Had a couple of pints and several games of pool with my old school friend one Saturday night. Great service, great pool table, but I was better at pool in 1974. Great pub thanks for a great evening!

A lovely outside space here with patio heaters and blankets available if cold. The staff were all friendly and attentive, the outdoor music was good and the prices reasonable. Lovely place.
Revisited The George after 35 years. My parents used to run the place and I was around 13 yrs old. So good to see it's still as lively as I remember. Staff very welcoming and happy to chat about the changes over the years.

Lovely place and atmosphere. Lovely staff and comfortable furniture. Place clean and new. Attended a fab quiz night and have been there several times for a drink since. Definitely would recommend.

Great place, hospitality was 2nd to none, and staff were excellent in covid 19 exercise. Nice beers, ciders...comfortable bar area, plenty of seating with very well sectioned areas.. nice and pleasant evening.
Fantastic food, great staff, and most importantly, dogs are very welcome. Unrecognisable from previous management - clean and attractive decor, with a lovely garden... highly recommend!
Not best impressed with the current beer selection but sure that'll change soon enough. Nice seating area in the summer and safe for the kids to play
