Nice store. Polite and friendly staff, just wish they had a bit more on their essentials range! Then they would be 5 star 😊
I love having a local Waitrose in Chipping Sodbury. The car park is big and I can always find a car parking space. The layout of the store is brilliant and it is really easy to find your way around the store. I think the range of food / products they sell is great. Some of the products I would say are more expensive than other supermarkets but the quality of the fresh produce is always good. I would say you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t say everything in the store is more expensive than other supermarkets but I would say the quality is probably better. The Waitrose Cafe again is lovely, the coffee is delicious, reasonably priced and of a high quality and they have a range of different items you can buy off of the menu as well as snacks. There is plenty of seating in the cafe and it is clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming and will help you find anything that you may need within the store. There are quite a few tills so you don’t really have to queue for long to buy your shopping. I think it’s brilliant that you can shop online with John Lewis and collect your order from the Waitrose in Chipping Sodbury - that’s super handy. Overall I do really like this store, I don’t shop here all the time because I do prefer to shop elsewhere just due to the price of certain things however it would stop me from shopping there or going to the cafe.
Used cafe. Everything spotlessly clean. Even the spout on the teapot didn't have then scummy brown on a lot of cafes teapots
We visited the cafe in this branch of Waitrose. I had a lovely cup of Americano (coffee), served with milk in a China jug and sugar of my choice. My wife had hot chocolate, and she also had a blueberry muffin while I ate a lemon and fruit Danish pastry. It was really well presented and the service was outstanding. Couple that with a quiet atmosphere where you can converse without shouting to be heard, and you get the picture.
The shopping experience here is much as you would expect from any other Waitrose, and as an older guy, it suits me to find a quieter, slightly less frenetic environment.
I would like to see more in the way of low packaging impact goods like the fill your own container to be found in a few branches, but I guess we will have to wait a bit longer for that to come around.
Overall, it was a brilliant experience considering it is shopping 😉
Nice little supermarket with friendly staff and a good selection. Not the cheapest though!
I like this store prefer it to our keynsham branch. More homewear to choose from and it had a great atmosphere. They have just reconfigured the self scan checkouts much more space now. A pleasure to shop!
Nice store, well laid out. Good variety but some items can be limited choice. Watch the sell by dates!! Till service often slow and there's a reluctance to open more tills.
Good cheese and great counter service for meat and fish; good wine selection; good range of fresh fruit and veg; knowledgeable staff
Good place and good food. The only issue is that they seem to manage their tills so that there is always a queue. If the store is nearly empty there will be one till working... with a queue. If it a bit busier there will be two tills working... each with a long queue, etc. Needs a bit more focus in this area
A brilliant hidden gem of a live action zombie-horror attraction. Experience what it would be like to gather supplies in a World War Z scenario where your fellow shoppers have been afflicted with a virus turning them unto roaming undead. Dodge trolly wielding zombies in the car park, marvel as they try and fail to operate the card machines and self service checkouts, clamber over hordes of the undead in order to reach items on the shelves, don bio hazard equipment and try to avoid catching the virus which threatens to wipe out humanity.
The acting of the zombies in the experience area is very realistic and second to none. Additionally, the experience area doubles up as a gift shop that has everything from fresh produce, to meat, household items and alcohol. The entrance fee is very reasonable at £0 and it appears this attraction is entirely funded by purchases from the gift shop so a cheap day out for the whole family.
Always a pleasure to shop there. Staff are always nice & extremely kind. Especially when I was in my wheelchair awaiting my new hip & whilst I was recovering from op.
Having a Waitrose local to me has been a great addition. I genuinely dislike going to the supermarket but I don’t mind walking around a Waitrose, the staff are always happy and helpful (I hear there work environment is better compared to other supermarkets). The place is always well organised and clean.
Their general management of the site during Covid has been on the whole pretty good too.
Good choice of products. Nice Staff. Very hot on CV19 protection measures. The only nuisance was that there was way too many order pickers blocking aisles which made it a little difficult to get to some shelves.
Recently moved into the area and was thrilled to find this Waitrose nearby. Parking is always easy, the staff are so friendly and click and collect is great. Food quality is great and there is plenty of choice. This has become my first choice supermarket, despite there being others a little closer to home.
we shop here every week and have always found the staff friendly and helpful, but this week we went to the fish counter looking for smoked although there was some labelled as such it was Haddock we thanked the lady and carried on shopping to our surprise later the lady found us and said she had found some for us.a big thank you to her
