Okay so firstly the food was really nice (curry’s) however the Bombay potato was still very raw, hard and barely any flavour at all which was sad as I love that stuff. The staff were sweet, the atmosphere was very bright in there, very white walls, just felt cold in there. The white cloths was annoying as they got dirty straight away and it stuck out loads make me feel like I’ve just sat down and made everything dirty. And as for the music, what the hell! Clubbing dance music whilst I’m eating a curry? That was a massive no no for me. I did not feel relaxed and calm eating, I felt like I wanted to get up and dance. It was not good at all didn’t like it and defo made us rush eating our food and want to leave.
The music was definitely a massive put off I know we’re in Essex but come on. So cos of this not sure if I’ll be going there again.
Happy parking was right outside however.
Excellent food. Best I've had for a while. Good service and despite being a reasonably large premises felt cosy and personal.
We have dined at Vojan many times and have aways found the food and service to be first class. The staff are extremely polite and friendly if anything goes wrong they are very apologetic making you feel important to them. One comment would be that it would be nice to have sign just before the the left turn on the A414 as we always miss the left turn and end up in North Weald.
I had an amazing experience at Vojan. The food was served on time and tasted delicious. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The best restaurant in Ongar and one of the best restaurants I have been to.

My first visit here with a large group. Great selection of tasting food serving different cocktails and lassies! Once you're done eating you can relax in the back garden where they have a massive pond with plenty of fish to see!
They also have a huge car park at the back so parking is not a problem.
Delicious food, amazing service, and great ambiance
This place is easily one of the best Indians available. The food is lovely, plenty of choice. There really is something for everyone. Our waiter was amazing, and so helpful when choosing from the menu and stopped us from over ordering. His suggestions were excellent. And food arrived quickly and was very tasty.
Overall it was a great evening, and I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Absolutely superb venue and the food is mind blowing and serving not just your ‘run of the mill’ dishes like other restaurants. There’s an array of dishes on the menu you would probably never heard of before. Very reasonably priced, very clean and a well presented, friendly and efficient waiting service. I would highly recommend this venue, I can’t wait to return.
This is a lovely place to swing by and have a curry. We don’t live nearby but found it by chance because the M11 was really messed up one Friday evening (what’s new 🤣) so we turned off at the Harlow exit towards Ongar to get some food while the traffic died down and there it was beckoning. The place is really welcoming and friendly. The food is very good. The menu is varied with many chef specials as well as the traditional madras/korma/dansak type stuff.
Balle balle food!! Recommend if you like Indian food.
Had a very good experience at the vojan , tried shisha in their new lounge , food and cocktails was great as well as the service , would recommend!!
