Twice in one week! We're holidaying I Chipping Norton and have had two takeaways from Chefs Cottage in a week (calories don't count on holiday right?)
The first one we ordered online and collected, the shop staff were super friendly and helpful, we received our order quickly and the food was lovely! Only downside was the chicken ball batter was a little mushy in the middle.
Second time we ordered online for delivery, at £8 the delivery fee is high for a 10 min drive but worth it as again the food was outstanding and piping hot.
Both times we asked for slight menu changes and we received them both times no fuss.
Shame we have to go home as I'd love a 3rd this week haha!
Ordering via the website is straightforwad and they delivered all the way out to Milton under Wychwood. King prawns with salt, pepper and chili were excellent. Other dishes were classic Cantonese Chinese takeaway. Nothing disappointed - we ate the lot.
The food was beautiful . Squid was crispy and delicate and the chilli beef was beautiful too . Generous portions of sesame prawn toasts . Had worried from previous reviews . We shouldn’t have . It was excellent. Also delivered by Chris Martin from Coldplay , which was a surprise .
After experiencing poor Chinese Takeaway services from 2 of the 3 Chinese takeaways in Chipping Norton I had low expectations for Chefs Cottage. I am very happy to say that the food was excellent. You can view the chefs cooking and you can see that your food is fresh and not just microwaved. The prawn toast was crispy and the pancake rolls were light and delicious. The whole order was very delicious and I will be using them again.
The best news is that they also deliver. I am looking forward to my next order!
Only just tried since new ownership. Food very good, quick service and pleasant people inside. Will use again.
Good value for money and the flavour is good but far too greasy for my liking, However my mrs liked it. I'm editing my review as since we last ate there we have had 2 more take aways from there and they have been delicious based on my other 2 orders from there I believe this is the best Chinese in chipping norton with the best value for money too I will only be ordering from here now when I'm looking for a Chinese.
Difficult times at the moment so decided to treat ourselves to a Familly take away. After 4 weeks of home cooked food this was a welcome treat. Lovely clean COVID safe takeaway collection with large screens separating the staff for customers.
We ordered Lots of starters, 1/2 duck and a couple of main course and it was all cooked perfectly. Thank you guys we will be back.
lived in Chippy for a while, Chefs Cottage has revamped their food and it’s amazing. Vegetarian chicken on the menu is great.
Had a lovely meal from there good size portions and nice fresh veg

Always get the best Chinese from here! Such a wide variety of delicious dishes. The food is full of flavour and unlike any other Chinese, does not taste bland at all. Very nice place to get something to eat :)
