Stopped here while wandering around Chipping Camden. Warm welcome and great service. Chose our cakes from the selection available in the window. Coffee and treacle tart were delicious. Allergies dealt with efficiently which you tend to get with smaller independent businesses 🎉🎉. Would recommend
Its an small cute tea room with accomodation at the main market place of Chipping Campden in the Glouchestershire region. We had afternoon tea/coffee with snacks there. The food is good. The place was almost full. Service is fine. The restaurant decor is great with heritage look. Overall recommended.
Loved my visit with my son and 2 grandchildren on a Sunday morning.
The children enjoyed a fully loaded hot chocolate drink each. My son and I had the latte. I enjoyed their soup of the day with a warm cheese scone. Honestly absolutely delicious.
Nice little garden with seating to dine to the rear.
Lovely tearoom with cosy interior. Plenty of seating of various kinds. I'd highly recommend and would love to return.
I didn't stay in the premises so can't comment on their rooms.
Called in for breakfast before starting a walk. The bacon and sausage sandwich was served on fresh thickly sliced bread. A good coffee served here. Good quality ingredients are used, this is reflected in the price. Breakfast was much enjoyed!
Amazing tea, coffee, and breakfast.
We popped into Chipping Campden the morning of my Birthday and couldn’t have found a better place for breakfast.
We both got a mini full English with drinks and it was very well priced for the quality of the food. Service was also fantastic, as was the entire atmosphere of the tea room.
We got some cakes to go as we wanted to have a walk around the village before our parking was up. The Victoria Sponge was fantastic!
100% would visit again if I’m ever in the Cotswolds again.
Beautiful tea rooms doing a great lunch menu. Very doggy friendly. We were told we could sit anywhere we wanted with Labrador Poppy. They do have a great outside patio garden out the back as well if you don't want to sit in. Lovely friendly staff, best service we have had in our many travels around the country. Well done
Lovely tea rooms. We had the cheese scone, panini and soup of the day (minted pea) - all of which were super tasty. It was quite busy but we still managed to get a table and were served within a few minutes.
My only reservation is the surcharge for alternative milks. It's a personal peeve of mine TBH. 60p is ridiculous for a bit of oak milk - same price as an extra shot of espresso.
My husband and I stopped here for Breakfast today, and were blown away by the whole experience. The decor was stunning, with beautiful wood tables and lots of natural light.
The menu was great, and offered lots of gluten free options (gf bread, cakes and SCONES!) which was a pleasant surprise and made it really hard to make a choice! I ended up going with the soup of the day (tomato and roasted red pepper) with a cheese toasty, and my husband had a full english. Honestly, it was perfection. The food was fresh and full of flavour. Worth noting that the bacon was perfectly crisped in the full english - SO GOOD.
I’m always skeptic when i see outdoor/detached loos, but these were nicer than any i’ve been in before (see pictures attached).
The coffee and service were also top notch. All round: we can’t highly recommend it enough!
What a lovely place with lovely people!
We'd driven absolutely miles to "do a bit of the Cotswolds" one Saturday. My dearly beloved (i.e. boss) suggested we stop in for some tea as we traipsed up and down the High Street, and I was so hungry I said "Yes dear, of course", with every intention of having much more than a cup of tea.
So the All Day Breakfast it was, then...
Service really friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome (which is unusual in itself in the modern "hospitality" industry).
But another reason I'm writing this is because of the breakfast. Honestly? I imagine you're saying. Yes, I reply. I don't think I've ever tasted one like it (sorry, dear) - everything so perfectly cooked and presented. Even the tea was good.
So if you're in the area it's worth popping in to see what I mean. If I didn't live so exhaustingly far away I'd be in there every week.
Of course, they've now just got to live up to what I've said. Hey ho. No pressure then.
We ducked in here on a drizzly summer day, not our first time coming and won't be out last.
Great selection of cakes that tempted us to indulge.
As always friendly and helpful staff.
Will make a point of returning.
The Big 3s:
Ambience: busy and lots of flying bees, no music, pleasant and friendly
Food: really proper British fare and well presented
Service: rushed by pleasant and accommodating
Loved this choice for Chipping Campden in the rain with lots of wonderful choices; hot food stops at 1500 in summer.
I was here with a couple of my friends in the weekend of Easter. This placé was recommended by our host. It’s a place that has a character in its own. One you go in to the tea room the restaurant looks like a place from the past. As you go by a glass observatory you end up by in a back garden with iron furnitures.
We sat in the back garden and ordered coffee and hot-chocolate to drink. We also ordered an English scone with some sandwich, a bagel and an English breakfast.
The hot-chocolate was just delicious. It was very tasty. The coffee was ok. We were aware that the English scones here were delicious and va we weren’t disappointed. The cake was just amazing and it melted in the mouth along side the jam and clotted cream. The sandwiches, bagel and English breakfast was good, but nothing special.
I would definitely come back by to be enjoy the scones they offer. In short hot- chocolate and the scones are must try.
Had breakfast this morning 27/05/23 with my husband. The tea rooms was so lovely and picturesque. Our breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Great visit. Enjoyed afternoon tea. Swiftly ordered and delivered.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Bantam. Lovely stay both times. Excellent food and service. Friendly staff. Would stay here again and recommend.
Stopped in for a breakfast while visiting Chipping Campden. Lovely full English breakfast, staff really friendly and good service
