Lovely roast lunch we both had cooked to perfection. And 2 sundaes. The staff were very friendly, very chatty and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend. We will be back again soon.
Absolutely love the old lane & all the staff are incredible (I'm rubbish with names) but you all go above & beyond. Especially when we celebrated my friends hen.
Great food and excellent staff with a service that aims to please. The only negative is its difficult to separate the rowdy bar side from the well furnished and lovely dining area. An I frastructure problem that can't really be solutionised, or neither would they want to deter their regulars; however, bare in mind if visiting as we were. All in all, I would certainly visit again if just wanting a quick lunch on the go again.
Went recently with my wife kids and extended family for a gathering. The atmosphere was brilliant as we're the bar staff who chilled out my daughter. The food was fantastic. We had burgers, and I would definitely be returning to try other burgers. The chicken burger was delicious, only negative was the bbq chicken because it was super dry and a tiny piece of chicken..won't put us of going again though.
I booked a table for an early family lunch. Our table was there and reserved for us and we ordered drinks at the bar and then our food. The food was delicious; we loved our roast turkey; portion sizes were good and the service at the bar and to the table was very good and all staff were friendly. This is my son's local pub so we like to visit here when we come down as it's convenient and our young grandson is always welcome. The atmosphere is always welcoming from both staff and locals.
A lovely cosy table had been selected for us and we had a very friendly welcome. Our meals were very good and exceptional value. I had the pie and my husband had the amazing mix grill , which he really enjoyed and said everything was cooked perfectly. Well done to all the Old lane staff.
The food, service and cleanliness was all tip-top! One of the group that I was with was a little less than polite to the bar-lady and she still dealt with him extremely courteously (which he didn't deserve).
A wonderful experience all-round. I will definitely be returning.
Food and service is excellent. Me and my partner love the vibes when we saw families gathering there. There is a section for everyone (sports, family, chill out). Even though this is my first time being there I love this place. Definitely will come back. Thank you for the warm welcome and keep it up!

Friendly, helpful staff who stayed calm and professional when computers were slow. Excellent meal and drinks and good value for money. Electronic booking system great unlike a recent experience I had with a Greene King pub in Bath which I visited on my birthday and which disappointed.
Menu so good at The Old Lanethst we will be back soon to sample another main course and pudding. Well done!
Nine of us went and had a meal 11/07/23 it was excellent food ,five of our party have not been there before they was very impressed. When the bill came my aunt thought there was a mistake she was expecting it to be a lot more. Good atmosphere.for the two hours we was there.
