Excellent food.. Sunday carvery is the best around! Service is always really good too. Don’t live in the area but it’s well worth the drive over

We visited here on a Friday evening for the carvery. There is plenty of parking and service was great - friendly and attentive. The tables are nicely spaced so you have privacy and room, rather than being crammed in. We opted for the carvery rather than the menu and it was excellent value. The food
Excellent carvery. We had the pork & turkey. Vegetable choices were very good & the Yorkshire Puddings 10 / 10. The gravy was rich and couldn't be faulted. Our only criticism being the roast potatoes. These were too big, too hard & not brown enough.

Went for a lunchtime meal in a group of 4. Had a Carvery meal so able to help yourself to everything except for the various roasts. Good selection of vegetables and sauces, so you won't leave hungry . As its a Wadworth's pub they serve good quality beer. There is ample parking and garden area seatin
Visited The George Inn for the first time today, for a small family meal for 3 of us.
We've been searching for a decent carvery for a while now, and we've definitely found our new favourite.
The carvery was well stocked and clean, with a very good choice of meats and vegetables.
The food was immense
We were a party of 10 on the 23rd September, couldn’t fault anything, excellent staff excellent food excellent service, very clean premises, we had children in the party which were catered for extremely well, will definitely be going again, a great place to dine
We booked for Wednesdsy evening carvery, there were two other tables of four there so good atmosphere. The server was really friendly snd the food was excellent! Definitely going again.
Nice Sunday carvery, some of the staff may have been fairly new as they did not seem to be brimming with confidence.

It was the first time we visited The George at lunchtime and we opted for the Carvery menu.
We were impressed with the quality of the food, the decor was warm and cosy and the seating was comfy.
Also impressed with the cheerfulness of the staff including Oliver who look after us very well.
Although
Stopped in by chance, the staff found us a table and were so polite and welcoming. We ate the carvery which was delicious. It could've been a bit hotter, especially the gravy but that was my only fault. Thanks for a great lunch and it was on offer too! Very happy 😊

A wonderful Sunday lunch in the perfect pub garden. We were lucky enough to be the first customers to eat from the brand new outdoor kitchen bbq and grill. Nice selection of grills available: halloumi, prawns, kofta, chicken and great selection of sides! Skewers of delight!
