My partner and I had a Sunday Roast yesterday with our one year old boy. I called around lunchtime to check if they were serving a roast dinner at around 5pm (many pubs in the area stop serving food by 3pm, so we were delighted that they were serving food still and had space for us. We arrived at ar
Loved everything about this pub. High quality food, really fine choice of ingredients. We had a few lovely tapas to start with, then particularly appreciated the lamb, and the pork belly dish, surprisingly good for pub food (I'm a French man and I'm picky ๐). The service was very good too, always wi
Best roast dinner in the area. Really enjoyed it and was great value! Also a lovely outdoor seating area and a good selection of beer. I'd recommend the pork roast as the crackling was excellent and the meat tender ๐
We have been here twice now, once for a Sunday roast with a table of 15 just before Christmas and it was the best pub roast Iโve ever eaten. Second time was this evening on a spur of the moment booking, the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the vegan,
Service was good, food was tasty. Lovely beer garden. Classic car and bike meets there regularly. Prices were a little high compared to town pubs but this is ok as important to keep trade up for these smaller country affairs.
Hidden gem, a great place. Friendly staff, havenโt had food yet but it looks delish, spitfire lager with many more options, boys had some homemade brownies and loved them! Huge outdoor seating at front with hot food / BBQ in summer, outdoor seating at rear, log burner, comfy, welcoming - love it!
Popped in for a pint. It was ok. Shepherds neme so didn't bother with food as l find SN pub food disappointing. The outside area was nice and pleasant. Inside needed more character in my opinion. It just felt like it was missing something.. ๐ค
A true English pub. Nice menu options and great service. Good beers and on Sunday they serve a great roast. Highly recommended!
Visited here yesterday (14th June ) and was blown away by the delicious food and friendly atmosphere and service. This place is well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed. The food is delicious and we will be definitely returning very soon. Thank you for the best lunch I have had this year!
Really lovely dog friendly place, exactly what you think of as an English country pub. And they put on a classic car show 1st Sunday of the month with really good BBQ.
Chips were lovely and service was great but the only thing that was lacking a bit was the wait time. It was a great place and I definitely recommend for families but just a bit expensive great for a treat!
Been here a few times now. The griff burger is lovely and the service has always been pleasant. The only let down being the last time I asked for an ale and recieved a lager. Not the end of the world Iโm sure it was an honest mistake. This pub is a lovely hidden gem I will be returning.
Griffin's head hosted 15 of us for lunch on Saturday and they really went above and beyond to accommodate such a big group. The food was great, drinks great and friendly warm service. Couldn't recommend this more for a lovely countryside pub experience!
Food was absolutely outstanding! Fabulous size portions too! Service was excellent, highly recommend this wonderful place
Love this pub. It's not very big, but they've opened up another area. The staff are lovely , it's dog friendly ๐ and the gardens nice.
Lovely restaurant. Friendly service. Pride in their menu and food. Just perfect! We stayed in whitstable for a holiday and this was a short and worthwhile drive. They also welcomed our well behaved dogs.
Dog friendly pub! Nice seating area outside when sunny. Great food and amazingly friendly staff.
Great pub. Lovely bar. Had a fantastic barbecue at Griffin Head, band playing, fabulous atmosphere, very friendly. Staff, especially the manager, were excellent. Delicious food.
