We had a really delicious giant cheese toasty and coffee here, so good we bought a couple of bags of Black Pearl to take away! Plenty of room over two floors, despite being quite busy the service was perfect.

Visiting family in Chichester we stayed overnight and was looking for somewhere for breakfast. We were going to to the local Weatherspoons however the kitchen was closed, so we walked towards South Street. Glad we did as we found here! Lovely breakfast of Full English and the kids had American Pancakes. Lovely coffee too. Will come again next time we're down.

Had a lovely light lunch in here yesterday. Unfortunately the egg on the avo smash wasn’t done to my wife’s taste. She passed it back and asked for it to be redone which it duly was along with an apology, however it meant that the meal was a little disjointed. Not a disaster but afterward the manager (?) popped over and gave us two free coffees as another apology. Which we gratefully accepted since the green monkey coffee here is just amazing. So great customer service and lovely coffee and food. Thank you.

We were positively surprised with the trading post coffee. Spent 2 days in Chichester and what was meant to be a quick coffee break, turned into lunch. Coffee was fantastic and pleasantly surprised with the gluten free options on the menu, staff knowledge of gluten. Enjoyed a very nice lunch - can highly recommend

Lovely little spot on South Street. We had 2 buggies and the staff helped us find a spot to fit us all in with the children. Food was really good and the choice of teas and coffees were way more than your typical high street chain. Definitely will go again next time I'm in town.

This is part of a group of independent coffee shops in coolest parts of Brighton and they bring their trendy style to Chichester, reminiscent of a colonial trading post scattered with sacks of coffee. Music brings a lively 80s vibe. Loads of seating upstairs and staying open until 7pm (cocktails on the menu). The food is sourced from artisan bakers in Brighton. Coffee of course is the star of the show, with a choice of blends. My coffee wasn't perfect, and with young eager staff and teething issues (like the EFTPOS not working, toilet not flushing, no WiFi), their challenge will be to maintain the quality needed to compete against several other decent specialist coffee shops in Chi. I'll be back for sure.

The coffee here is the best coffee I’ve ever had and the atmosphere is lovely. Unfortunately the cooked food isn’t great and has been cold or flavourless in my experience. The pastries and sandwiches on display are pretty good though.

Drinks were lovely and the service great, only downside is we were charged more than what we should have been. Sent an email as requested, they didn't even bother acknowledging it, so dropping another star. They got in contact after my above comment, and offered a refund which I accepted. Then they contacted me again and said they can only refund in store, which I'm unable to do as I don't live there. They said instead of a refund, they'd give me free coffee and cake for two the next time I'm in Chichester. Don't know when that will be, if ever, but I appreciate the effort to make up for the error, so have adjusted my rating to reflect this, and as I said, the drinks were really nice.

First visit today. I asked my husband to just get me a hot chocolate and I went to find a seat. He came back with a slice of cherry bakewell, as he was having something and didn't want to leave me out, and I'm very pleased he did. It was the best I have ever tasted. Everything well presented too. I will be back for more and we will also revisit for breakfast or lunch.

Went in to buy beans for espresso, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They let me sample the beans on offer free of charge and the beans I bought were roasted recently enough that they’re almost perfectly rested and ready to use. Will definitely be back :)

Really great coffee, roasted in house and so surcharge for the plant milks! Lots of vegan options too:)

My favourite brunch spot! Food is delicious and coffee is marvellous. Only let down is that upstairs is boiling hot and they can't open the windows (unsure if they have air con?) and outside they allow smoking which isn't pleasant for non smokers. Really lovely interior too!

Love this place! The food, coffee and drinks are great. My husbad really loves the cakes too :D There is always space to sit even on really busy days. The only downside is that there is terrible service and no wifi.
