I was recently in Chichester and came across ‘The Barn Townhouse’ on the main parade of shops in towns the High Street. I complimented them on the vast variety of delicious treats they had an offer. I was asked if I had visited ‘The Barn Little London’, unfortunately I have not. However, it will be on my priority list the next time I visit Chichester. Within the townhouse was a fantastic range of pastries, sweet treats and huge sourdough breads. Investigating further, they also have chocolate with great flavour (I bought the coconut and almond), pasta, pizza, sauces, oils and crockery. I could have easily spent a small fortune. I will be informing all of my friends that they have to visit this new and up-and-coming eatery/shop! I was served by two wonderful ladies, who informed me of where they got their produce, persuaded me to indulge in the almond croissant and we chatted as if we had already become firm friends. Describing everyone as friendly, would be an understatement. I was beyond excited to try the seeded sourdough when I got home. I cannot wait for my next visit.

If I could give this amazing place more that 5 stars I would. Situated in a beautiful, central and historic part of Chichester, The Barn is an outstanding brunch spot and with a charming, international feel. Pioneers of the Slow Food movement supporting local produce and wellness, the food, served on vintage crockery was spectacular. The menu was intriguing, with world influences including nods to Persian cuisine, which I really loved. The ambience was buzzing but relaxed - we were sat in one of their beautiful rustic barns. Although the service was slow the staff were truly amazing, and the owner Emma who was lovely took the time to talk with us. The Barn is also dog friendly which was lovely as our party included a beautiful four legged friend who was given a lot of love by staff and other customers. Finally we spend some time in their shop and took home some amazing groceries for the larder. Highly recommended

A refreshing new place with real china cups for tea and mouth watering cakes. Friendly staff and cheerful bohemian ambient, within high ceilings making it light and airy.

Popped in for a coffee, looked so nice, we had a sandwich and cake. Friendly service and unusual bohemian interior. The garden features small snug cabines.

The Barn is the place where you easily spend hours looking around, tasting cakes and drinks, eat slow cooked food, listen to the music, gape and check different decor of the huts and then decide to buy some cheese or a piece of cake for tomorrow’s morning coffee. They also organize different events with musik and special menu - check out their media for been posted. Great food, high quality drinks, so friendly and open staff! Always fresh homemade food! And just look who’ve been there as well! Strongly recommend!

Went to The Barn for the first time today and will definitely being going back. Daughter has already booked a birthday brunch based on our recommendation and these photos. Good brownie and excellent latte. Menu has lots of choosables. Ambience is quirky and humorous but still stylish. Apparently ski chalets are renamed for famous beach resorts in summer!

Very busy, we had not booked but got a table... Lovely staff and a very pretty court yard... A bit over priced thou.. Not a place to take a family as its a cafe with high priced food.. Welsh rarebit was £13

Wow! The food is amazing. The house wine perfect. And the fun, light and easy atmosphere was fab - in no small part thanks to Harriet, the resident 'personality'! We had a ball. I have been back 3 times in 2 weeks! It's not cheap, but it's high quality, tasty and interesting food. Did I mention the 'house red' ?!!

Lovely secluded setting for outdoor dining in the heart of town. There is a peaceful and well laid out garden with lovely little huts that have tables inside. There is a great atmosphere and attentive service. The food and drink in the cafe/restaurant and in the shop are all of a very high standard. All in all, one of the very best offerings in Chichester; I highly recommend it.

Had a belated Mother’s Day lunch and it was delicious! Line caught tuna with piccalilli. Red cabbage, green salad and Brie with a hunk of fresh bread, yum! They also sell lots of interesting provisions to take home for another day
