The atmosphere in this pub is lovely. Me and my family always choose this pub out of all the others in Chichester because we 9 times out of ten get a table, they have a great selection of drinks and the bar staff (Irish Conner) have always been polite and welcoming. Eaten here a couple of times and no faults found with the food. Will be returning ��
The Old Cross is one of the BEST pubs I've ever had a drink in.. The staff are friendly and always smiling and The manager (Yvonne) deserves the friendly moniker of being called "mum" by the locals!! The drinks are cold (except the coffee) and the food is tasty!! There is always something sport wise on the tv and the ambience is a dream! This pub is well worth a visit and I will be a regular and seeing my "mum" on a regular basis from now on!!
Popped in for some lunch with my mum and the food was DELICIOUS!! Large portions and a really good price. Friendly helpful staff, would HIGHLY recommend ��

The burger meal I choose was amazing.well presented and would defo go there again.
Went here on Friday for dinner and the food was lovely and good value for money. The bar maid who served us was so friendly and attentive, definitely an asset to this place! Will definitely be back :)

Absolutly 5 star food & hospitality. Took the 31.5 year old kid here today for lunch and what an amazing lunch it was .... so much more than expected. Staff were exceptionally brilliant {especially Amanda} also was great to see yvonne again as she's so lovely & friendly so will deffo be there again.. soon very soon maybe next week...

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was lovely, it was all well cooked and piping hot. I had fish and chips but swapped my chips for fries which they said wasn't a problem. I asked for extra tomatoes with the steak that I ordered for my Dad, again....not a problem! Well worth a visit!
Standard pub food, but it was really tasty. Arrived quickly too, which was good as we were going to the theatre. Quite noisy inside, but great to see people out and about again. Our menu didn't have the calories printed on it, which I understood Was The law now. Anyway, food was tasty.

Sat outside on a sunny day to have lunch. We got told half a hour wait but it came a lot sooner. Cooked fresh, was lovely and hot, good size portion, went away feeling well fed. Definitely worth a visit, staff friendly and doing a super job
I went in on Tuesday afternoon for lunch spontaneously, was immediately greeted by staff who provided me with a menu and advised me on what drinks they served.
I ordered hunters chicken and had a pint of Aspall. Food was cooked brilliantly was lovely to eat outside in the sunshine.

Got a round each with a little group of friends, even though it was busy I was served quickly and overall had no complaints. Little outdoor area was nice to get some air and there’s lots of room inside too

Lovely traditional pub in the heart of Chichester. They have a lovely selection of beer and wine with all the classics. The pub was clean and tidy with a lovely decoration. Finally the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back next time 😉

We were visiting Chichester for a wedding & came across this wonderful pub in the high street & really glad we did as the staff were excellent & really friendly, good selection of beer etc & food was great too!
Would definitely recommend & visit again when we are back.
Does a very nice chicken tikka marsala here a couple of times. I really enjoyed it and the staff are friendly. Although the poppadom was a little soft and not as crunchy, it still tasted very nice. I'll definitely eat here in the future.
