Absolutely love it here, they do a great breakfast and we are here most weekends for the breakfast. The lunchtime/daytime menus are great too, the burger is amazing as are the club sandwiches and steak ciabatta. The cream tea is a steal at £10 as it's all freshly made to order and always a great choice of sandwiches. The evening bistro menu can be a bit hit or miss, but can usually find something that I like. Coffee is good also, the only downside is the amount of bees and wasps that you get outside but this is being dealt with; as there are now several traps around outside. But nothing that would deter me from going, staff are always so polite and helpful, although some of the younger male staff don't always know what's going on and seem a bit clueless at times . But still everyone is human, and as long as I get my order in a reasonable amount of time and they don't get the orders wrong, what does it matter.

Supper there on Sunday evening, sat outside, lovely bubbly waitress food was very tasty and came on hot plates, yes there can be a queue at the counter, but if customers were a little more patient the service and quality of food is excellent, this is now a regular place we like to eat at. Do not agree with negative comments on here either.

Great location. Outdoor seating (indoor aswell!) where you can soak up the view of the boats. Very good breakfast and free parking. Toilets are really high quality too! Highly recommended for a stop off.

We ate out for lunch with our 2 children. It was one of the best meals out I’ve had in a long time! The atmosphere was relaxed, accommodating to dogs, and the food was excellent. We love sea food, and the platter certainly didn’t disappoint. Sophia’s service was perfectly timed. Not rushed, but not neglectful either. Would highly recommend, and we will certainly be back!

What a different place to last years setup. We loved it! Beautiful refit creating a great ambiance. Friendly, knowledgeable helpful staff. Prompt service with a great menu featuring lots of locally sourced foods. None of the above would have been used to describe it previously. Thanks team - we loved our supper with you tonight!

We have been here twice now once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both times have been lovely with a lovely setting and friendly staff. Food a little on the pricey side however has always been enjoyable.

This cafe is surrounded by a large area of natural beauty for long walks and is in the middle of Chichester Harbour. Large space with quite a lot of seating. Service was a bit poor. Food was not bad but also not great except my gorgeous fish finger sandwich that was excellent 👌 I ordered fried chips to go with it, needless to say they were deep orange colour. Would be good to change the oil from time to time. free parking on site 🙏 will be going back and would recommend.

I witnessed the manageress deal with a very obnoxious customer. She and her team were managing with a smile despite where others would not have coped. Well done! #respect. BTW, the trout and dark chocolate tart from the new menu were delicious.

Today we went to Chichester Marina and after a stroll we found the Boat House Café. It is such a lovely place very tastefully decorated and furnished. A conservatory and beautiful outside area additional to the great inside. We originally wanted just coffee but couldn't resist the fish finger sandwiches!!! Wow they were the very best. Homemade battered fish fingers in lovely bread. Wonderful. The staff were friendly polite and welcoming. Very efficient and had it running like clockwork. Families and dogs are welcome. Excellent customer service and food.... brilliant. Definitely would go again 😉. Thank you.

This is a great place to stop off when on a walk around Chichester Marina and the local area. Pick up a takeaway coffee or stay for longer and enjoy something off the lovely main menu. With ample seating inside, but particularly outside, for views acress water on a sunny day watching the boats, birds or just people.

Great lunch & location Spontaneous lunch on a sunny October autumn day. Indoor & outdoor seating. Cafe was bustling but not overly busy. Had a couple of drinks. New lunch menu with starters of Ballotine & Whitebait with main courses of Pork Belly & Cod with Bacon, all well cooked and presented. Finished with dessert & coffee and a wander round the lock and harbour area although for security some places are naturally off limits. - very pleasant and one for the notebook for a possible return when in the area.

The boat house cafe - we stopped for late breakfast and I was really impressed with options for yoghurt/raspberries/granola or mango/chi seeds really delicious. My husband had a toasted cheese and ham panini again very good. Coffee was lovely too. Staff very helpful. Will definitely be back

Nice extended family lunch - excellent muscles and a good sandwich - kids menus were basic and kids were happy. Services was prompt and friendly. Struggled with acoustics quite difficult to hear conversations - food was reasonable value but drinks seemed pricey
