A really nice local, tucked away in Eastergate. Two small bars are complimented with a beer garden. Ales change regularly, and always served well. Friendly staff too, which makes this our "go-to after-work pub"!!!

A great little pub, very busy on a Sunday lunchtime with drinkers and diners so book a table in the dining area (note dogs not allowed in this area but are allowed in the rest of the pub). The food is homemade, delicious and generous portions. No menu but chalked on the board so I suspect it changes regularly. Today we had Lamb shank roast, Plaice & chips, proper suet steak & kidney pudding and chilli.

Me and a friend from work went down for dinner and beers, and stayed most of the evening. The food was gorgeous and the barmaids were friendly and fun (especially the one with the puppy!! ) Country style pubs are hard to find these days. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We only stopped for a couple of drinks, plenty of parking, good outside space for seating and small area with swings for children. Beer was great and was quite during the afternoon.

Great little local pub. A large group of us booked in VERY last minute and the pub were happy to accommodate us which was a very pleasant surprise. Good selection of drinks, nice classic pub food menu and sensibly priced. Will be coming back in the future for sure. Thank you 👍

I have been coming here for over 2 years, always friendly and the pizzas are really tasty. Couldn't ask for more from a local country pub.

Small beer festival, well organised, good music and attentive staff. They should have asked my band to play!

What a fantastic find! Really friendly, noisy, bustling "local" pub, with excellent beer and really nice grub. We had a really nice time. The staff were superb. They were professional and exactly what you'd hope for. We're just passing through, but as a result of our experience here, we're going to make sure we schedule a comeback to have a second go at the brilliant hospitality at "The Head"
