This pubs is one of my favourites in the area the staff in this establishment are really what make it great. Bar staff are always friendly and easy to talk to, the chefs do a fantastic job and it shows in the food they put out. I have been a few times for their carvery as well as different meals and

The staff are lovely, efficient, smiley, helpful, friendly and certainly made us feel right at home and welcome.
The food was delicious, very salty, which suited me, but not the others.
Highly recommend dining here, just ask chef to hold the salt.

Omg an amazing place! The staff are so lovely and friendly and the food was amazing.
The mug of tea came out in a cute flower pot mug and a spade as a tea spoon 😍
The pub is fresh and modern but not out of keeping from its past.
I would love to come here again and try something else from the menu.

Food was absolutely Brilliant, worth every penny and thoroughly enjoyed our meals, good portion sizes and the staff were lovely!
We had a wonderful carvery on Sunday the food was plentiful and delicious with a fantastic choice, all of it was amazing meats & a huge variety of vegetable sides and the Yorkshire puddings were spectacular!!. A beautiful old and charming pub full of history.
The food here is excellent and cooked from scratch . However we did have to wait a while for our main course.
The landlords are friendly and welcoming. The prices are good. Non alcoholic beers are available.
Food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The Lady behind the bar (and waiting on us) was a joy. Friendly, bubbly and nothing was too much trouble. A real asset for the pub. We will be back.

We had a fantastic evening at The Barleycorn. Very friendly and efficient service and food was amazing. We had one Texas and one Swedish burger. The burgers themselves were tasty and good quality, but the generous toppings just made them into the tastiest burgers we have ever experienced. Fries

Superb sirloin steak and sweet potato fries.
My scampi was a bit overcooked as crispy rather than soft and juicy and tartare could be better.
But lovely low beam pub. The welcome on the bar, the table service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
