The Nags Head was recommended to us by the doorman of the place we were staying at. We chose the carvery and my daughter had the halluomi burger. The staff made sure that we all had our meals at the same time and they were delicious. We then had desert which was also heaven on a plate. The staff were pleasant and attentive and the place is comfortable and clean. If I had one criticism it would be that the yorkshires were a bit on the dry side. However this was no deal breaker. We would definitely eat there again next time we are in Chichester.

Another great meal in here this evening. We had the pate and the fishcake followed by the liver and bacon and a haloumi burger. Excellent wine choice, we had the Chardonnay. And the service is second to none. Highly recommended. The Nags never disappoints.

This is not our first visit to the Nags Head for a sunday roast. Can I say that I would highly recommend this public house. The staff are so friendly and acommodating they go out of the way to make you feel welcome. The waiting staff are totally amazing, even when they are under pressure they are always polite and courteous. As for the food need I say anything it speaks for itself. If you don't believe me then get down there and try it for yourself. I guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

Lovely carvery, staff were young, friendly, smiley and professional. Only criticism would be the amount of time you have to queue for the carvery (20mins) and how loud it is. If you want to have a conversation then that's not really possible

Fabulous room. Big towels, good bedding, clean bathroom, great shower and bath. Tea and coffee. Super king bed. Food excellent. Worth staying for sure. Not so great for overnight park, so had a bit of a walk to the car. Would recommend.

Traditional pub, cosy bar with great atmosphere and a very good choice of beers. Spacious lounge with large screen to watch live sport. Good menu with excellent carvery esp. Sunday roasts. Nicely refurbished beer garden. Friendly staff. I would recommend.

Good traditional pub with a nice looking food option (didn't try). Beer prices very steep compared to others locally - 2 pints cost well over £12. Won't be back, but only because of the beer prices and there are other equally attractive options nearby.

WOW! The Crispy Chilli Beef was amazing. You have to try it. It’s huge as a starter so I’ve no idea how big the main is. It’s a family favourite and beats any Chinese I’ve ever been to. Service was great and other meals were delicious but I looked in envy at my sons choice.

The Sunday roast is amazing, definitely the best I've had. The beef is delicious, and the gentleman at the Carvery was very friendly. Highly recommend The Nags Head.

We stayed at The Nags Head for one night and had a full English breakfast in the morning. PROS: friendly staff, quaint old building, traditional Inn experience with rooms above restaurant, great location, good food CONS: had to pay for parking, room had a very strong unpleasant odors, spoons and glasses in the room were dirty.

We spent one night here having spent two nights in a four star hotel and it would not be fair for me to compare the two. This was a stop off on the way back from a weekend away and was booked at the last minute. We paid 3* money and got exactly what we paid for. We did have a smallish room which was possibly the last one available. It was adequate for us and was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have an evening meal here but the breakfast was large enough with the usual choice of cereals, yoghurt and a good size fry up. My preference would have been not to have two eggs - I would rather have had beans instead of an egg but I wouldn't mark the breakfast down on this aspect. I'm sure some people would prefer eggs to beans. It's a decent enough pub. We arrived on a Sunday early evening and it was clearly very popular with the carvery. I think the kitchen extractor fans started up quite early so if you're a light sleeper take some ear plugs just in case. Sometimes it is inevitable with any pub/hotel that there are going to be early morning noises from breakfast preparation, deliveries, traffic etc. Overall we had a decent enough one night stay and the location is brilliant for Chichester town centre.

I had previously visited this pub a few weeks before and enjoyed a nice lunch but after returning this Sunday for their carvery I just had to write this review. To keep things short & sweet, it was by far the best Sunday roast we've ever had. The welcome, the barmaid, the restaurant staff & food was outstanding & well worth the money & trip over from Worthing. Del & Rodney would be very proud. 👌
