I heard the basmati restaurant was a good place to eat but a round trip for a meal was in excess of 60 miles round trip decided to give it a visit was I disappointed not on your life
When We arrived it was very busy but we were given a table in a short time the staff a extremely pleasant and helpful the meal was fantastic would I go again yes in a heartbeat

Ordered a takeaway old style, by phone! Was taking it to another address to eat with family. Easy to order via phone. It was a Saturday evening & I expected a wait, but was told it'd be ready for collection within 30 mins. On arrival, restaurant was pretty full, other people were sat waiting for their takeaway but mine was ready. Despite being busy, they saw to me immediately. I paid & left. Small car park round the back was full & 2 cars overflowed to park out front. On arrival at my destination, food looked & tasted lovely. Had veg samosa, mushroom bahji, chicken korma X 2, pilau rice, saag aloo, plain rice, poppadoms & sauces, ordered for 2 people but had enough left over for another portion day after as portions are generous. Haven't been in to sit & eat in a while due to family issues, but will definitely book in the near future to visit again. Have had takeaways in this time & they're always tasty. Worth a visit.
We went to Basmati tonight as a family and it was simply delicious. Our server was attentive and polite with great product knowledge, offering suggestions of what we could try based on our described taste preferences. The food was incredible! Absolutely delicious and flavoursome and the portion size was generous. We tried an array of dishes varying in heat and taste and every one was outstanding. We will definitely be returning, thank you very much Basmati!

I've tried about half the menu and it's all amazing. Food is fresh and so full of flavour. They adapt all signature dishes for veggies :-) Our first choice for a takeaway and love to dine in too. The staff are always friendly and happy to see you, even when busy. Interior is very nicely designed - cosy but upmarket, and the Indian music (set at perfect volume) adds a nice atmosphere. Drinks and food fairly priced. I recommend to everyone.

I had the three chilli dish and it was amazing. Strong chilli flavour without being crazy. My buddies had good food too.
