I have eaten at this restaurant/bar a good dozen or so times and without exception have found the food to be excellent. The menu is extensive and combined with a large variety of drinks and great service ensure that it is usually at the top of my list of places to go for a drink and meal.
Wonderful pub, great food, service was spot on and they did so well to accommodate 35 of us for Sunday lunch. Would highly recommend this lovely pub to anyone who enjoys good traditional food. Xx

Went in on the off chance on Friday night and although buisy the gave us a table for two. Had ordered from the wall menu and seated within four minutes. Very friendly atmosphere and the kitchen was quick with the starters.
The main course came out in very short time from the table being cleared. Hot nice food presented and service was attentive polite and efficient. It was delicious.
Likewise the sweet was well prepared and also hot.
Certainly an establishment to visit again and soon.

We organised a great family dinner on 4th May theWalnutTree the service and kitchen were great, food was really tasty and everyone's glasses were kept topped up, all in all a really great night, keep up the great work
This place is a firm favourite on our September holidays to Pagham. The staff are friendly, there is a lovely atmosphere and the food is just absolutely delicious! We visited 3 times this week and each time it didn't disappoint. Even kind enough to make us something from the cottage menu which we hadn't realised wasn't available on a Sunday. Highly recommended.
Fabulous place which was found on Google maps. Staff were very friendly and so helpful. Food was very tasty and well presented.
Superb meal whilst staying locally at Chichester Lakeside, only a 4minute drive away.
Fantastic service, all staff very pleasant, food was amazing: sausage and mash, ham egg and chips, belly pork, curried fish. Apple and blueberry crumble was out of this world.

Quiet, cute, beautiful, food was amazing mains, desserts, coffee was all spot on, its the first time we've been here, it was our wedding anniversary and we can't fault anything, this was the nicest meal we ve had in a very long time and it won't be our last visit for sure.
Always been past this pub for so so many years,had drinks in there lots but never food. So last night as the family get together before our fathers funeral we all met & had a lovely meal together in his memory. Great service ,food was good too. Had no quarms over anything. Lovely place.
We were here for a family lunch, and couldn't fault it. The waiting staff were lovely, and the food absolutely delicious. I had the ricotta & spinach canneloni with garlic bread and a lovely crisp side salad.
Would definitely recommend!

Delicious food in pleasant surroundings. Service from the young team was friendly, although a little patchy considering it was an averagely busy mid-week evening. For some reason we were placed at the far end of the pub, where it was quiet and slightly lacking in atmosphere. Would return for the Slow-cooked Lamb Shank alone though! 😋
A really cozy quintessentially British pub and restaurant, serving excellent food and always very popular with locals and visitors alike! Just on the off chance we popped in for Sunday roast, even though only tables outside available….. lucky it was a nice day. We were welcomed at the door and the ordering process was explained. The food came really quickly , the staff were courteous and cheerful. We would definitely be returning. The Sunday lunch deals are amazing.
Staying at Seal Bay for the week and fancied a nice country pub for dinner that wasn't too far a drive, only 8 miles away was THE WALNUT Tree near a quiet village , absolutely brilliant 👏, the pub/ restaurant is stunning has a great authentic decor inside , the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered for 2 adults and 3 small children just mains , the food was superb 👌 even the kids fish fingers were home made and MASSIVE , the mains were very filling and also generous portions for a very reasonable price 👍, would definitely recommend.....oh the beer garden looked very nice and spacious however we ate inside, great for families.
Arrived at pub, barman clearly doing drinks orders. Stood at least 5/6 minutes, no acknowledgement from barman, nor any other member of staff. Not welcoming at all. Had to waylay a member of staff who were passing again with no acknowledgement. Once seated service was very good as was food. Only complaint is dress of service staff. Some wearing shorts, not always smart ones. Feel trousers/dress/skirt would be more professional and smart.

Called in around d 6.30pm on a whim while passing on a week day, and there was already a decent amount of people having a meal, about a third full.
Really hard to fault this place so I'm not going to look for what isn't there, clean, friendly, great choice of beers and food and the food delivered fast, hot and with great service checking on any condiments required. For anyone that hasn't been here, there is plenty of free parking and a huge, well-kept garden with ample seating. We're looking forward to returning.
Delicious home cooked food. I had their nutroast and it was amazing. My parents have recently been back and enjoyed the lunch menu. Service is fantastic, staff are very friendly. Beautiful pub with adequate parking. Highly recommend.
An absolutely amazing pub, the food is delicious and staff is always very polite and friendly. Lunch time is getting very bus so you might want to book in advance. Thier fishcakea are delicious and "a must try"!
Driven by Walnut Tree many times. Wanted to try it out and went lunchtime today. Superb pub / dining. Very welcoming - staff were attentive, courteous and friendly. Would recommend to everyone of any age with friends and family.
