Since my last review didn't quite do this place justice, here is a revised version.
First impressions of The Fat Fig are undeniably positive, the cafe warmly lit, with colourful walls and decorations. Cleanliness is top notch, with all the furniture and fittings polished and dust-free. Very pleasant atmosphere indeed.
The staff are very friendly and polite, and once they have your order you need only wait 10-15 minutes before a plate of beautifully presented, exquisitely cooked food is in front of you. The plate is deceptively large, causing the meal to appear small when in actual fact you may find yourself struggling to reach the last bite. I find this to be a good thing!
My partner and I highly recommend this cafe and will be returning again in the future.

Discovered this place today. Huge range to choose from on the menu, took ages to decide, we were sat near the serving hatch so could see all the food going out so kept changing my mind! Food was hot, well presented and tasted delicious.
The cakes looked amazing and will definitely be returning to try these.
We just love it here...great food, great service, seating planned well.

Loved it. A yummy breakfast of my choice. Lovely tea pings oolong tea, what a gem of a find in Chi. I can't wait to return for a lunch. Very friendly and great fresh food.
The food was gorgeous and the staff friendly. I had the Mediterranean breakfast with vegetarian sausages and my husband had lasagne. We will definitely be visiting again. :)

They do the best coffee in Chichester and fabulous healthy lunches. The breakfasts are to die for.
My wife and I, couldn’t fault the food or the service. We would definitely return when visiting Chichester again.

Quite possibly the best cooked breakfast i've ever had. Beautifully presented, great service, excellent coffee.

Been here 5 or 6 times over the last couple of years.
Recently had the large traditional breakfast and a latte coffee 2 weeks in a row.
Very nice and tasty, quick service, one of the best breakfasts.
Only slight criticism was 2nd time dining I was charged extra £1.95 for swapping out the mushrooms for a bit more scrambled egg. The first time doing this I was told there wasn't any charge?
So advise asking beforehand if they do swap out an item or whether you will have to pay extra for it.
Fantastic cafe with great food. Friendly staff. Very busy. The only thing which is not their fault it was very noisy.
We have found this restaurant by chance ,it's great it opens at 9 am on Sundays. Both Mediterranean and full English breakfasts were delicious.
Excellent food! I had the fig and goat cheese salad. And a large glass of white wine!
It was reasonably busy and the one waitress coped well. No waiting for food.

Always fabulous! The food is always served efficiently by the friendly staff in this clean and comfortable restaurant. Wonderful breakfasts, I especially like the Mediterranean breakfast but lunch is equally fantastic- it’s always hard to choose what to have!
Had heard great things about The Fat Fig’s breakfasts and lunches previously from friends and family - finally had my chance on a quiet weekday morning to come for breakfast! I was not dissatisfied. Great menu choices, I had the Eggs Royale and my boyfriend had a breakfast wrap. Perfectly executed and great value for money. Staff were also very attentive! Would highly recommend

Just the best breakfast place in Chichester!!! Amazingly friendly staff and delicious, different breakfast options. You must have the Med Breakfast. Wow. Thanks for always providing fun and high chair for our Flic!
