Great food, refreshing dry cider, helpful chatty host. Really generous cheese ploughman's (lovely Stilton). My wife had cheese omelette, again generous size and loaded with cheese. Not fancy or fussy, but very tasty.
This pub is an old fashioned furnished looking pub has not changed for years. But all clean and the service is so welcoming and warm. The food very comforting good pub food. Fish and chips on Fridays are amazing! Also currys and pies ect all delicious.
Wonderful! Nice to see a pub still lovingly attended by it's owners. Great food (steak and Ale pie and Sunday roast) and nice local cask beers. Well done!
Stopped for lunch today, what a find, delicious beef curry, and katsu curry was amazing. Definitely going back for more !
Called in for lunch. Warmly greeted and found a traditional pub with character and friendly staff.I had tge steak and ale pie. Delicious. The veg. too. Superb.
The gluten free menu is excellent. Both my wife and the landlords wife are coeliac so we can recommend eating here in safety and comfort.

As always, lovely food. Struggle to finish the Sunday lunch, no room for dessert. Plenty of people in the pub eating, showing how popular it is.
Great food at good prices. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice of drinks too.
Top notch old boozer... Best Sunday lunch in a long time. Really friendly place just wish I lived closer so it was my local.

Popped in for lunch today, was passing, lush proper old school pub. Food was great, service was great, lovely old style pub, we will definitely go back again 😀
