Stayed here recently. Lovely hotel . Well positioned for a small walk into town. Room was clean tidy and comfortable. hosts very accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast very nice. Evening meal was excellent.
Owner was amazing, we had problems with our hotel at 3am (it was noisy and cold, the ibis) and the owners of Buckingham’s Hotel opened up at 3am gave us a lovely room. We dined in the restaurant with one table. Whilst it is expensive, you do get the full experience and I didn't leave disappointed overall.
There is no menu, you simply let the Chef know in advance what foods you dont like and he'll cook something that you do. My only word of warning is don't go wit
My grandson treated us to a meal for my birthday, it was the best meal we have ever had. Thanks to the chef who explained all the dishes to us and also to Tina, nothing was too much trouble. Every course was brilliant, thank you so much. Would recommend it to anyone!
The hotel is a family run business and is all the better for it. The staff are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Excellent quality food, tailored exactly to your likes and dislikes by head chef Nick Buckingham. A true dining experience, though it is quite expensive, but you get what you pay for!

Had a lovely stay with the Buckinghams at the weekend. The room was cosy and clean, hosts were friendly, and the food (we are vegetarian) in particular, was definitely worth going back for.
