Lovely country pub, beef dinner was lovely cooked to perfection, only quib they only supplied one small cauliflower cheese amongst four diners one spoonful each and one very tiny pot of dryish mint sauce not enough for 4 adults otherwise a1 Btw I'd started eating before photo lol

arrived 1:45pm on thursday after a walk. the prices of starters and steaks are higher than other pubs. we ordered steak pie, lamb shank, sandwich and pate were tasty but the chips were not triple cooked as stated in menu. the desserts mixed berries crumbles and bread and butter pudding were delicious.

We had a lovely family meal here today, they catered to 15 of us including a toddler. The food was delicious and the staff were really nice even took a group photo of us afterwards. We’d recommend and will definitely visit again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The chef is fantastic. We had steak and ale pie and the beef melted in our mouths. The chips were chunky and gravy just as its meant to be.... Hot and rich and plenty of it. Highly recommended x

This is the 2nd time in a matter of days that my husband and I have been to the Crispin for lunch and both times it has been a fabulous experience. Home cooked food and plenty of it!!!!! We had the roast sunday chicken and beef dinner on Sunday which was fabulous, just how it should be 🙌🙌❤️❤️. Large portions and cooked perfectly, everybody who enjoys a roast should come here it’s fantastic. Martin is an amazing chef and even though I was stuffed to the hilt I had to indulge in their homemade sticky toffee pudding for dessert ❤️. We will definately be back, sooo wonderful tomhave home cooked food when not at home. Thank you it was deeeelish

Wonderful oldie English village pub with a touch of modern tastily done. The Crispin sits in the heart of the beautiful village , Ashover. This is a village with wonderful walks & wonderful scenery around every corner . The Crispin is well worth a visit they have a good verity of ales & wines also do lovely food . Also in the village is the Black Swan & Poets Corner both good drinking & food pubs.

Nice pub. Food was OK but nothing special. Young chap behind the bar was pretty uninspiring as if we were an inconvenience to him. Other than that OK.

Visited on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Just had a drink. Seemed a nice pub in a nice village. Loved the bit of history on the sign outside too.
