We went as a couple and had a Small Carvery and a Plant Based Chicken main course. The choice of help yourself vegetables and accompaniments was really good and it all seemed fresh. The roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese were especially nice. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We didn't have room for a pudding but there was a reasonable selection available on the menu.
When we visited there was a set menu option for either a two or three course meal, each giving around a 20% discount. If you know you'll want dessert at the time of ordering then this seems a good option. We'll definitely visit the Young Vanish again.
Very welcome. Had the carvery it was perfect. Good choice of meat and veg. Nice and hot. You do need to book on a Sunday as always booked up. Booked to go back.
It was my very first ever visit to The Young Vanish Inn. We were booked in to have a carvery. I chose the glazed gammon and turkey and it was so delicious. So soft and moist and it was all including the veg cooked to perfection. It is the best carvery I've ever had. I would definitely recommend it.
The Young Vanish is a lovely warm and welcoming place to come for families to eat and for just a quiet drink. Tara and Lori always make me feel welcome having only moved into the area recently. All of the staff are very hard working and helpful. Even when the staff are noticeably busy they remain polite and professional. The staff and the quality of ssrvive is what keeps me coming in.
Was a nice breakfast, decent price, was empty when we went in the morning, but ordering mushrooms was a bit of a joke, we had finished our breakfast before they 'came'.
Also, they just dump a bowl on the side and expect you to know they are ready and yours, and the potion size was poor. Other than that, was decent.
Lovely place to visit.
Very clean. Staff team very nice and helpful.
Food, no complaints what so ever.
The staff are really friendly, welcoming and efficient. Our meals were delivered very quickly and we're exactly as we would like them, both of us had requested changes to the meals we ordered. The food was OK, nothing wrong withe the presentation or way it was cooked but more the quality.
Unfortunately, I feel the premises themselves let the staff down. The toilets were not stocked with toilet roll but hand towels to use, one of the cubicles had towels strewn acreoos the floor. The tables felt sticky (I did observe them being cleaned so not through lack of trying), some of the chairs had worn/torn seat pads and the general decor is tired.
This review would be 5*, however all buffets share the same issue, when it's quiet, you can get your food instantly, when it's busy you have to wait, even more so when the food is replenished. On our perticular visit, we had a decent queue of people in front of us, which seemed like a lifetime when the queue stopped moving as the food was brought out. The food was nice and we enjoyed what we had.
The car park has ample space for lots of cars. There's wheelchair and disability access. There is a small outdoor play area for children. The seating is on ground level, and some on a slightly higher level that is up a few steps. The main seating area makes accessing the carvery and bar easy for disabled individuals. It is best to book a table as they do tend to be busy. There's a menu available as well as a carvery option. The food is good. There are plenty of choices for all ages. Children are well catered for regarding meal options. You can order food and drinks from the table using their app or go to the bar and order. Only thing is that the toilets could do with cleaning, especially the area just outside the toilets going into the pub/restaurant area. Air freshener would be a bit of an improvement.
A very nice pub/ restaurant serving lovely food from a full carvery to freshly baked pizza. The staff are wonderful and the pub it's self is large and open plan. Great for party's or just dining for two. There's a play area and outdoor tables. A large car park and disabled access, games room and a good selection of beers and spirits. Toilets are very clean.
Goto for a quick carvery. The meat was good (Turkey, Beef and Gammon) and veg was great. The green beans weren't the best but plenty of choice and you can return. Frozen veg but expected for how busy and turnover required. The app wasn't working so no free drink but the staff apologised and advised they have issues across Mitchell-Butler sites at present. Decor is a little dated but it is what it is.
I took my overseas buisness customers here for a typical British lunch and they loved it. Well done team.
