We had the most amazing time yesterday at my friends baby shower which I helped organised with another friend. I couldn’t recommend this place enough....from the beginning Hannah made it really easy for us (I was totally clueless about party planning) giving us many options and ideas. The staff were so attentive, We had gluten free and vegan options available, they helped us setting up (Big thank you Josh for the balloon assistance ) The food was delicious and so much of it, the extensive coffee menu (in my opinion) is the best in chesterfield and the attention to detail (edible flowers in the mimosa’s, getting our ‘mum to be’ a little card) was all just exceptional and hugely exceeded our expectations. I can’t wait to plan another party here!!! Becki, Emma and Alice xx

This place is really lively - good atmosphere great staff and the food is wonderful. Went there for a friends birthday - we had quite a wide age spectrum and everyone loved it! Try the hipster Martinis - to die for!!!

I can honestly say that the atmosphere, food and price was fantastic. Probably the best place I’ve eaten in Chesterfield. Overall perfect place to celebrate anniversaries etc.

We visited yesterday morning (17/03) for breakfast, the staff couldn’t have been any more helpful and welcoming. The coffees were top class and the breakfast was potentially one of the best I’ve had . We will definitely be back!

Nice little find in Chesterfield. Lovely food, drinks and hot chocolate. Decor is nice and friendly staff. There was no children’s menu so we had fish finger sandwich no bread for our 2 year old, charged for a side - excellent. Only suggestion going forward would like to see a couple of children’s options on the menu, fresh mini pizzas, or just fish fingers, even fruit salad. More than one high chair needed to, not a negative just a suggestion. We are already booked to come back

First time visit tonight for a work do for 12 people and I can’t praise them highly enough. From Hannah who put up with endless requests and menu changes to the fabulous friendly wait staff who looked after us all night. Amazing variety of cocktails made by an an enthusiastic expert. Great looking, hot and incredibly delicious food this place is a definitely a must visit.

Me and my husband went in for for a few drinks and the bar staff recommend which cocktail he was very helpful and it was amazing! we couldn’t resist the look of the cakes on the side so it was no trouble for us to just have a desert whilst having drinks at the barstool area, we felt very comfortable and relaxed, the atmosphere was very welcoming and we was able to enjoy each other’s company. We will definitely be returning for food as the food we saw coming out the kitchen looked incredibly delicious. 10/10

Let me tell you a story; a story that starts at the mouth and ends at the heart. The main character of this story? A (what I would call) seared to perfection slab of premium meat on fresh bread. There’s countless places, restaurants and cafes all trying to re-invent the burger, yet can’t create an effortless masterpiece like Bottle & Thyme seem to churn out effortlessly. I was in disbelief, I had to return for the same burger a day or two later to reassure myself this was no fluke. To my surprise this was no one trick pony, no miracle occurrence but the best burger I had ever eaten in my 24 years on this planet. No thrills, no unicorn glitter or over the top trying but the most understated miracle of Chesterfield - The “Beef and Black Watch Cheddar Burger”.

I feel like this is mean 4⭐, it's the cusp of a 5⭐ for me... Food - Full marks from me, we had the Eggs Royale and my partner had the Buttermilk Chicken Burger - both cooked and flavoured fantastically and well portioned. Beautiful food. Drinks - There's a plethora of choice, from hot drinks, to soft drinks and the cocktails looks nice, though we didn't have this time. Food and drinks for two came out at £30, which I very fairly priced for the quality! Service - Staff are well presented for a nice feel and are very relaxed and friendly. Food and drinks were prompt from seating to eating. Can't complain at all. Atmosphere - It has a nice raw decor, mixing industrial wood and metal with a softer choice of plants and greenery. Spot on. The only thing, I could grumble about was that the menu was clearly used and quite tired. For printed paper, either replace it or seal them... But - would definitely recommend and return 😁

First time I've been & I definitely will be back. It's always looked busy as I've passed & this is always a good thing. Service above and beyond food is excellent 👌 Highly recommended 👌

Lovely brunch. I had the eggs Benedict and my friend had English breakfast. Very tasty and well cooked. And of course cakes! The members of staff were really polite and friendly.

Enjoyed our meal with friends on Saturday night. Very happy with the vegetarian options with the shared veggie platter with grilled halloumi, courgette chips, homous, Korean cauliflower and more was delicious and filling for my partner & I, as were the twice cooked chips. The only downsides were it was a little too dark and whilst it might be the "in thing" to have live music, the singer guitarist was too loud making conversation almost impossible.

Had a really nice meal here. Ordered two platters of veggie and meat options. For 5 it was plenty! And great value. We were in a corner which was a tad dark, but didn't detract from the evening. Music was a bit intense for an evening meal, but that could have just been timing to be honest. There was a live musician on, but we left before unfortunately! The staff were great and couldn't do enough. Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Went here recently with family and had a lovely meal. Staff were attentive and food was appetizing. Unusual menu and dishes were interesting combinations. We were there on a Saturday lunchtime but it wasn't overly busy. Seating area at tables outside front for bought drinks to be consumed.

Super chilled out indie coffee shop and restaurant. Came here with a mate for a beer and then on a Sunday for brunch. The coffee was really nice, deep roasted flavour. Breakfast is really delicious, fresh and good quality ingredients. Friendly service with a smile. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks guys!

Excellent food, service and decor. We like this place so much that we went here for breakfast both days we were staying at the Chesterfield premier Inn just across the road. The food was really good quality with flavour and our waitress was just lovely. Excellent place!

Lunch: the best Eggs Benedict I've ever eaten, with pulled ham and perfect eggs, on sourdough. Only let down by dirty table that still had breakfast on it. Previously... Stopped for Sunday morning brunch. Nice selection of meals on the breakfast menu, and we customised ours with some of the optional additions. For a sweet start to the day I recommend the Brioche French Toast with Crushed Hazelnuts and Salted Caramel Sauce, and bacon on the side. Pleasant shabby chic decor and friendly staff.

We pop here now and again for breakfast as it's always been a great place, but since visiting last they've expanded their breakfast menu and now there's an even better choice - so much now it's so hard to decide. Opted for Turkish eggs, wow! Talk about tasty, not recommended if you don't want to spend the morning smelling of garlic, but highly recommended otherwise. Only one quibble, not enough sourdough toast - you'll end up either asking for more or for a spoon otherwise that tasty blend of yoghurt, paprika and yolk will go to waste.

Had a lovely brunch here, all dishes were delicious (eggs benedict, French toast, sausage cob). Reservations recommended as some people were unable to get in whilst we were there.

Extremely nice food. I ordered steak. Plenty of flavour and great textures. I had a "hop house" craft beer which had a nice fruity aftertaste. The lady that served us was excellent. Wanted to pay separately, as we all had to claim independently from our company, but this was not easily achieved (waiter). We have booked a table to eat there again next week. I highly recommend this place. A little bit pricey but worth it if you appreciate quality food. Since the steak is quite thick I recommend that you to choose medium rare. 5 stars for food. Lost a star because of the issue highlighted above. Update 26 June. Ate here again and food was still great. Service was better and the lady separated out our bill properly. I rate this sitting at 5 stars so will restore the lost star.

Beyond just bites to eat . Do recommend booking on the weekends. Fabulous food . They have a few sharing platters. We really enjoyed the Bar board . Or you can try a few of their tapas like grilled prawns, pork belly , truffle mushrooms that were absolutely divine!!!! sweet potatoe fries or a hummus bowl with focaccia. Delicious flavoursome food. Not just your run of the mill grab a bite to eat place. A wonderful find .

Beautiful place. Lovely cocktail selection with a great happy hour. I had the wild mushroom risotto which was outstanding. My mother had the chicken supreme which she found very tasty! Absolute bonus to have a final drink of Frangelico. Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff.

Situated opposite the entrance of the Premier Inn in the quiet part of the town. We went on a Friday night. Staff were friendly and attentive, we had food from the small plates and the food was delicious. We were recommended to have 3-4 dishes between us, as it was a bit like tapas. A lovely round off to the evening listening to two singers with acoustic guitar, drinking cocktails and coffee.
