As a family we're all so grateful for the outstanding support from management Adam & Emily that gave our mum an incredibly moving reception to celebrate our mums wake. The welcome and reception was above & beyond & incredibly respectful. The food buffet was unique & special as we wanted something quite different. Our guests loved the quality. The presentation was wonderful. Thank you so much. The attention to detail from all staff made a beautiful reception. And the extras that they added for our mum was appreciated so much. Your love was very sincere and we thank you so much. Luv Mike Donna Chris Vicky & family xXx

The bar tender which i think his name was Jon was amazing, such a great guy. He was welcoming, friendly and funny he had us laughing at his quirky sence of humour. The food was brilliant, quality was fab and plenty of it couldn't finish the pudding. Would come back just to see Jon he needs a pay rise

Highly recommend this pub it’s always a great atmosphere and great for families. Food is cheap and cheerful lovely staff & can’t praise enough how much they put on / have for kids they have a large garden outside with toys/ ride on toys bikes, trikes scooters and more they sometimes have a bouncy castle up top which kids love. They have all kinds of family friendly events on throughout the year too last night they had the Halloween party completely free which was absolutely amazing they had met and greet with creepy crawlys show and loads of party games for the kids. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. Some of us had roast dinner, others burgers and mixed grill. Some dishes better than others. Roast dinner could definitely do with a bit more roast potatoes. Overall, good experience and excellent service from John.

Absolutely delicious food and great service. Alex went above and beyond with taking care of us. We had the 3 courses at lunch time and each course was lovely. Hot and just enough and a cracking pint of John smiths for me dad and coors for the rest. Only pudding pic as we were hungry and ate the others to quick, Cheers guys we will be back

The Peacock is such a brilliant pub. It’s clear that all the guys who run it and work there are putting massive amounts of effort into making it a great pub and it shows. Just this weekend they’ve had adult and family halloween event that have been brilliant and it looks like more of the same is planned for Christmas and beyond. We’re lucky to have it on our doorstep - you couldn’t want anything more from your local pub.

Amazing family pub, great atmosphere and even greater staff. I recommend the food, the pizza and meats are well prepared and delicious. The pub also offers weekly deals, holiday celebrations and parties, as well as live bands. 10/10 would recommend :)

Was wondering around Chester and I found a wonderful little pub on the side of the road. Decided to pop in and to my delight they had a great selection of beers including ales (I’m an ale drinker). I ended up staying the whole afternoon and even decided to have some food off a very impressive menu. I went for the steak which was cooked to perfection (compliments to the chief)! I was served by very enthusiastic and friendly bar staff always asking me if I needed anything. Highly recommend. Particular mention to Alex and Emily who were able to put up with my constant chatting behind the bar, always Smiling and laughing. Will definitely be returning.

Came here today for my daughters birthday, 11 of us in total and was all happy with the food and good service. Alex was great dealing with such a big table! Lots of toys for kids to play with and a good outside area/ beer garden 👍🏻

Such a perfect place to bring kids, dogs and elderly people. The staff were very informative on the deals they provide and also directing us to the different menus they have on a Sunday. They also shown the football on all the screens and had some bouncy castles up which was great fun for all the family to enjoy. The cleanliness of the pub was spot on too and smelt amazing when we came in. Keep up the great work guys!

Stopped off by chance here to break our journey. Nice traditional pub, with good range of traditional pub grub and various menu options (including child, seniors). Very tasty burger and fries. Welcoming and friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.

Couldn’t fault the new staff, they couldn’t do enough for you. New landlord is happy friendly guy…. Massive improvement from the previous manager. Very happy friendly family vibes… Huge improvement from the kitchen the foods lovely… The place is clean and tidy…. And they have made an effort to open the pub an show the lioness games which is more than can be said for a lot of places round Chester. Plenty of entertainment for the children.. board games, play pen, outside games, trucks, bikes, and bouncy castles.

Having arrived at the Peacock pub after a 5 hour journey, I was hungry, tired & thirsty! I was meeting up with cousins (over from the US) & our aunt, whose 90th birthday we were gathering to celebrate. 6 of us sat around a table, the bar staff were extremely helpful, bringing much needed drinks to the table (it was a very hot day yesterday!) & they helped us navigate the menu & order our food. I asked for a rump steak, to be cooked medium rare. It was delicious, chips were crunchy, & the whole table ate everything put before them & we left a very happy party. The Peacock is a very good local pub, the food is tasty & good value & we would definitely recommend it. Thanks to the staff from our tired, hungry family!

With 3 young boys the Peacock has become somewhere for us all to go to, talk, meet and eat with friends whilst the boys enjoy playing both outside and inside! Food is great, small plates always good and the pizzas are really good!

Excellent meal and great service. Not many people in but maybe because it was mid-week (and lousy weather too). Definitely be going again. Great chicken, bacon and smashed avocado salad. V. healthy and less than a tenner!
