Visited on Saturday 12th November. Recommended to us by the guys that run Hover Force down the road. Overall the experience was good, a nice venue with what you can expect from a pub. As we were part of a stag do we had some drinks and some food. Everyone seemed to enjoy everything apart from the chicken strips/tenders which we must of ordered about 45/60 of.. Lots of these were overcooked and had resemblances to pork crackling. Apart from that, all was good and would recommend the pub & food to anyone passing

Beautiful pub in the Newton area of Chester, staff are attentive and friendly, prices are a little high for Chester, however, ita definitely worth it for ales on tap! Definitely visiting again!.

A good local community pub. Nice and modern interior. Not eaten here but menu looked good with plenty of variety. Plenty of TVs to watch sport, including a covered outdoor area with a large screen.

Went in for a drink just as management change was under way. Although the stock was being run down (due to owner transition) Lynne made us feel welcome. Very clean pub, going back tonight to watch the match......and yes the stock has now been replenished. New local, I think so.

We was a party of 15 the service was second to none. Lads on the bar made us feel very welcome we all orderd our food separate but all food came out the same time and was a credit to the chef I would recommend chefs special curry. All our plates where empty and everyone agreed was a great pub and great food we shall return

Not close to where we live so won't lie and say I will become a regular! Popped in yesterday for a couple of pints when over that side of town and have to say probably the most Covid 19 aware pub that I have visited post lockdown. Fair play to the team for the work they have put in to try and keep the customers safe. Beer was good as well!

I phoned to ask what time they finished serving food that was 19.55 they told me 20.00 but they offered to keep the kitchen open until we got there. The food was fantastic as was the service I highly recommend a visit. Thank you to all the staff.

Just called in for an early tea to the Bear's paw, under new management. Thought we would try the food off the new menu. Ordered the popodums, onion bhaji and chicken curry. It was absoloutely delicious, beautifully presented and very very tasty, the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Very good friendly pub quite. Not too serious. You get chips and bread at the interval.

I have been 3 times before for a meal & have always been happy with food & service. Yesterday was after a funeral we had a buffet. All was good.

Lovely since it's refurbishment, prices have gone up notably, particularly on food, but in the opinion of the four of us who ate there it was well worth it. Unbeatable customer service.
