Phillpotts Chester
We had a relaxed Barn Wedding this July 2019. We collected Cups, saucers and teapots all year from charity shops to have an Afternoon tea party instead of a sit down meal, and couldn’t think of anywhere better than Phillpotts to do the sandwiches and scones.
I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations, the ladies at Phillpotts blew us away with how they went above and beyond to help us organise the delivery, they even lent us the cool bags to get them to the venue in one piece.
A big thank you to Donna (Chester), the enthusiasm you shown us towards the wedding was so special and made us all feel so excited and at ease for the big day.
We had so many compliments on how lovely the afternoon tea was. The scones were perfect with high quality jam and clotted cream. Very impressed!

This Philpotts Shop is in a really handy location in the centre of Chester which is easy to pop into and grab a sandwich.
I sometimes visit this shop on the way into work and get a sausage sandwich with a filter coffee for £2.50, which I would definitely recommend. A normal sized coffee on it’s own is just £1 or £1.30 for a large. You can also find a large range of tasty lunches to grab and go. The staff are often friendly and quick with making up a sandwich.
One negative about this shop is that there are no tables and chairs to provide an eat-in service. Therefore, you will always have to takeout.
Overall, this is a really good sandwich shop with good quality food.
As a corporate company, we have used Philpotts now for approx 5 years, they are always consistent and the girls are always pleasant and helpful.
Oh and the food is amazing :)
Healthy delicious salads and huge portions! Great fillings like seeds, avocado, roasted peppers, balsamic glaze.....lovely wraps and cakes too!
Can i just say your staff r wow the portions in a sandwich r really poor serioisuly poor i spent £3.60 for a buti today i will never buy again the profit marchin on food is massive ther is no exuse i will never buy from u again
Have been visiting Phil Potts in Chester since I was 13, great sandwiches, just make sure you get there early to avoid missing out on the brie!
Very friendly staff had a nice chat while discussing vegetarian options ! Excited to go back for lunch today :)

The chicken tikka is world class, probably the best sandwich i have ever had .
